Only if we throw him into the fire right away but if we can let him sit for a year or 2 ( if we get darnold)...then the team will be in a better position...and he could step into a better situation to succeed.

Plus we have a real QB guru in pep Hamilton to coach him up.

I could see Jones playing early with the right game plan. Bama used a lot of RPO with short quick passes. He was near perfect in his reads and hit his receivers in stride for huge YAC consistently.

Obvious issue is that we don’t have that run threat but if we can add one, I could see Jones being effective early on in being somewhat of a game manager.

I saw one Watson trade package with the Jets involving both their firsts this year. I also saw a mock draft and had the Jets get Wilson No.2 and Najee Harris No. 23 and I would be pretty happy with that if we had both those picks instead. Plus other stuff of course.

This would not suck although think you can only make it if we got Quinnen Williams in the deal. Caserio needs to get a RB though and the class drops off big time after Etienne and Harris IMO.

I don't want any players in a Watson deal and I sure-as-heck don't want them to draft a running back.

I want draft capital. That's it. Stockpile picks, as many as you can. If the decision is made to trade is Watson, trade EVERYTHING and go full Astros 2013. That's the only logical path forward.

I’d be fine with getting Quinnen Williams in lieu of one of the first rounders. Former #2 pick in a huge position of need. But still better be getting back 3 first rounders and 1-2 second rounders on top.

I've already vetted that top 3 qbs I'd want in the draft in order of FAITH.
I omitted one entry. I was listening to "In your eyes" and it was like angels came down from the heaven. As I looked to the sidebar, it said: "Trey Lance Mix" Who? I It was an elegant moment and it was not coincidence. I viewed this highlight mix layered over some TheWeeKnd track and the guy can read defenses, makes every throw and can improvise and throw on the run with accuracy! So I'm thinking that sounds great. He could be great at the whole football thing but how do we know he's not having extramarital intercourse with scantily clad cheerleaders? Have you seen these women of the night, they just stand on the sidelines and do all kinds of pelvic thrusting jumps! Unholy.
And there was this and I'm sold:
    https://sportsspectrum.com/sport/fo...-awaits-ndsu-trey-lance-is-grounded-in-faith/
"Every season god puts us through has a purpose."

I'd still want Lawrence but move over Wilson I found a new Passion Of The Quarterback and Trey Lance is his name.

You non believers will just say youtube's algorithm lined my weeknd likes with all the college qb highlights I've been watching. I say to you burn in all eternity!

Kylin Hill and Harris backup Bryan Robinson are very good.

Dont want a QB that's started only 17 games against division II comp.

    Didn't want Wentz either

If you want a talented guy with very little experience give me 5 star recruit Davis Mills in the 3rd rd over Lance in the top 10. Both are very talented and carry the same amount of risk. I can make a case that Lance carries even more risk due to lower level of competition. I really dont want either guy though.

Again it’s very telling how the Texans met with Jones at senior bowl.

There is no combine this year and very little chances to let in person with prospects and he happened to be one of the potential prospects we met with.

Should non-Christian prospects even bother working out for the Texans?

No. Neither should anyone who shares an agent with Deshaun Watson. And I think the latter would thin the group more than the former.
