Capela outplayed Gobert and Towns in the playoffs. He was just use less against the warriors

Capela has to be the worst starter on a championship team. Every other player has to be able to shoot and play make and make up for the spacing problems that come with him regardless of how good of a rebounder he is. His defense on the perimeter is no longer good for a big either. You can beat a lot of teams with him, but it’s hard to be elite with him. It was the right decision to move on from him. It’s easier to build an elite team with wood as a starter. It’s easier to find ppl at the four or five who can fit around him, even though his defense is suspect

Capela was/is a beast. Always loved Capela and appreciated what he brought. No need to pick, I appreciate both but Woods is a current Rocket.

Towns and Gobert arent exactly paragons of excellence in the playoffs. EG has outplayed D Angelo Russel in the playoffs does that mean he is a max player?

Warriors centers consisted of Draymond Green and Kevon Looney. There was no reason for Capela to struggle against their front line given his length, quickness and athleticism. Rox took like 4 stabs vs GSW and Capela played like crap almost every time.

Not doubting Wood’s talent, but have you guys even looked at Capela’s stats this season? To call him “below average” is stupidity

Draymond Green is one of the best defensive players ever, a lot of front court guys struggle against him

    Woods is better, carry on.

Clint is also amazing and im glad he's playing well.

It's about matchups and Draymond was a terrible matchup. The Draymond/Looney series was when Capela was recovering from being sick with a severe virus against Utah.

You are right but Capela is a smaller and more mobile traditional center, he shouldnt struggle against him since he is quick enough to not be a mismatch but also lengthier and more athletic than Draymond. Wood should struggle more vs Draymond than Capela.

I mean whens the last time Green shut down Embiid? He cant, because Embiid is just as quick but stronger and lengthier than him. Capela prob isnt stronger than Green but he is longer and more athletic he shouldnt be oushed and bullied easily.

Its Draymond Green man. He's one of the best defensive players ever. And Capela has no way to create for himself offensively in any efficient manner. It was the expected result.
