These Covid spreading radical morons all need shipped off to some deserted island in an ocean far far away from here. Here's another idea. Just finger print all these no maskers and put them in a hospital and vaccine data base. That way, if it comes down to who gets helped first, or who gets a bed in a hospital, or a ventilator, they go to the bottom of the priority list. If only they did that with all the no maskers in the GOP. Bunch of selfish jerks.

A post on social media described the demonstration as the “Scamdemic Protest/March.” It advised participants to “please refrain from wearing Trump/MAGA attire as we want our statement to resonate with the sheeple. No flags but informational signs only. “This is a sharing information protest and march against everything COVID, Vaccine, PCR Tests, Lockdowns, Masks, Fauci, Gates, Newsom, China, digital tracking, etc.” A livestreamed video of the gathering shows a group of protesters on a sidewalk as cars navigate cone-lined lanes toward the stadium, which served as a COVID-19 testing site for months. A Times photographer witnessed much of the incident. Protesters carried signs that read “Save Your Soul TURN BACK NOW,” “CNN IS LYING TO YOU,” “RECALL GAVIN NEWSOM” and “TAKE OFF YOUR MASK.” Some handed out pamphlets to motorists who had their windows down. Some cars blared their horns as they drove by. I wish something like this had happened...
I’ve heard a lot from Trump supporters and others on the Right complaining about BLM and other protesters blocking traffic. I wonder what those people would say to arresting these guys blocking access to a vaccination site.
They would scream bloody murder about "Antifa" and Black Lives Matter. Then they would go online in an effort to schedule a march to "confront" the protest, in my opinion. They wouldn't join in and sing Kumbaya. As a matter of fact, perhaps the Administration should encourage BLM, etc., to block access to a large vaccination hub. Could be the lunatic anti-vaxxers would then change tack and march to get "jabs," as the British call it. If BLM and progressives are for something, the Far-Right has to be against it. Right?
America has not handled social media well at all. A complete lack of any limitations on speech has made this worse. Some of these “weirdos” are well educated and have high IQ’s.
Too true. I played trivia with one every Wednesday for a decade until the pandemic hit us. He's a retired cardiovascular surgeon. Incredibly smart, with an amazing memory (and our most valued team member). Yet he voted for trump twice. Once I might understand from a lifelong Republican, but twice? I'm great friends with the fellow, but we avoid politics like it's, well, a plague.
That's the thing a lot of people don't understand. For people that don't have them in their social orbit, it's easy to just to point to all Trump supporters as being low class, idiot, racist rednecks. People that you get along with, and are like minded in many respects. Smart, logical, decent people. When MAGA comes up, everything changes, suddenly it feels like there's been some mass brainwashing and you just got lucky and missed it. It's been equal parts astonishing and terrifying.
Couldn't agree more. With some, a lightbulb seems to go off and they move away from the GOP. I know a few. Just a few, unfortunately.
My co-worker (engineer, 55-ish, African American) swears this whole Covid thing is bulls***, a hoax, and on and on. I asked him where he got his "information" and he sent me: truth11.com DO NOT CLICK. Another co-worker started in on the Deep State. I was like, "Yeah. Deep State of Denial. No, not the river in Africa."
Im telling you folks, its not a con or lib thing. Some anti vaxxxers were new agey quacks who would frequent whole foods as much as buying 50 dollar purification crystals or magnets to realign their chakras. The movement is more anti establishment than party specific, but theres no doubt political agents are beginning to groom their next tea party...
