Wall, Oladipo and Gordon need to do a better job at finding him. He's one of the best finishers at the rim in the league and he isn't getting any easy looks. I've seen him go 5+ minutes without getting any touches, he should have 10 touches per quarter.

Wood's defense has improved by leaps and bounds.

Especially if in switch instead of the gawd forsaken drop coverage.

I think RoCo would be a very good fit with Wood but an even better fit is a more physical strong player like Tucker but longer/taller and can also defend 1-5. Especially the big strong 5's.

RoCo is best as nail defender and that is the position on D that Wood is eventually going to play the most.

    Durant begs to differ.

    But I hear you.

Wood is the best big that Harden ever had on the Rockets.

If we were able to trade for him last season like Morey planned ... Rockets would have been unstoppable.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but the situation was pretty different. Yao was forced to play year-round basketball in a body that wasn't meant for such things.

    Not anywhere remotely close unfortunately.

He gets rebounds and blocks most of the time due to his length - not because of his positioning.

I'd love nothing more for him to be half the defensive player that he is offensively.

No doubt, the board knows all - not only do they have MBAs from prostigious schools so they are experts at financial decisions, valuations, and how much billionaires should be leveraged, in their spare time they have managed to find hours a day to complain about the person lives of people who they know EVERYTHING about and anything they say has to be 100% facts especially since there will be at least one source/story that fit their narratives/agenda. Of course, when a story from a reputable source, one they have used in the past to defend their argument when it suited them, comes out from say Kelly Iko that proves them wrong (RE: that Harden forced Morey and this team into making the Westbrook deal, not Tillman as everyone inexplicably continues to push) the angry mob either:

    A) just writes off that source calling them an idiot and/or stating they don't know what they are talking
    B) ignores it all together and keeps pushing said false narratives

After all, they couldn't possibly have more knowledge of the situation, they don't know this team like the board does. No only are they geniuses in terms of business and human psychology, they have the basketball IQ of Michael Jordan and Daryl Morey combined - MJ is too stupid to understand all of Morey's advanced analytics and although Morey is the best GM on the planet, according to this board, he could manage to have a little more of the actual BB awareness that comes from winning 7 titles and being better than everyone else. OH and let's not forget...all are political geniuses who would run this country better than any president that has ever lived. MAYBE if Barrack Obama becomes Kamala's VP then just MAYBE someone could give them competition there but doubtful as they are experts in business and psychology as aforementioned. And don't take their 75,000 posts and non-stop activity on this board that they spend more time on than they do working...they've all traveled the world so much that they would easily be able to communicate with all the other foreign leaders with the 10+ languages they have picked up during their travels. All of those posts were made because that's just how smart and talented they are - they can multitask you unlike you, you moron.

What sold me on him is he went back out when he rolled his ankle. Yeah the staff shouldve stopped him and yeah the Rox lost anyway but yhe fact that he was willing to go back just shows how much believes in this team and how much he wants to win. He isnt twiddling his thumbs looking for help. He is willing to grit and grind for that W and your leader is willing to do that it just inspires the rest of the team to do better.

??? When you are scoring 23 pts at 60% TS and your team aint winning its not your fault already lol. For reference WB is at 46% TS this season so win or lose CWood isnt a WB.

Harden is a career 61% TS, thats the diff between a real MVP like Harden and an empty stat stuffer like WB.

Nah it wouldn't be his fault but I'd like to see if he can maintain his current output plus see if he can elevate himself in crunch time in those close games too get those Ws I mentioned.

Could have been great with Harden if Harden had fully bought in.

When I started the potential Dream thread after 5 games , the consistency was something that caught my eye.

Again I have not seen him play but I have come down on rebounding expectations. Dream obviously is one of the all time rebounding greats and the GOAT defensive player. That being said Wood may have trouble with larger players on the glass, but larger players don't stop him from scoring

At the start of the game, Pels went to Adams and he scored on Wood. Even the Pels commentator said “they have the size and strength with Adams in the paint”. I thought that Adams would score 20+ and causing havoc on our defense.Turns out that Adams only got 3 attempts on the entire game (he scores on 2 attempts in the paint, the remaining one is long shot at the buzzer). LOL.

As for Wood, great game. Didn’t rush the shots, took the position to score very well. I just hope Wall and Oladipo could get the ball more to Wood, but both of them have a rather great shooting night (for their standard) so i guess it’s OK tonight. :D

Exactly. It's like Silas and his guards don't understand Wood could easily be putting up 30 a night. His efficiency is incredible, and I don't think it's a coincidence the Rockets are doing so well without Harden.
