He didn't just ask for a damn trade. He literally stopped competing and pouted his way out of Houston. But this isn't the only time he's quit on us, we should be used to it by now

    LOL

Explain what Dipo has won in his longer career again?

At least Simmons is the BEST in a critical area, cannot say that about Dipo.

But Dipo is a Rocket now and I'm rooting for him tonight and as long as he is a Rocket, so we can stop with the analysis and the hyperbole for either side.

Luka and Lebron's numbers are impressive for their age...

    Oy vey.

It would be a good start to just learn your own team's history.

Since we're all pals here, I'm saying we should've traded harden and wb for both of them and get the team we deserved!!

I’m rooting for him to get his damn trade value up. Come March Miami is gonna come a knockin for the bachelorette (Dipo). Butler and Dipo is a badass defensive back court that can match up to Laker. We’ll be like, how may FRP’s you got?

But Oladipo isn't NEAR the liability Simmons is on offense. No NBA "star" should be that handi capped shooting the basketball. You keep leaving out how horrible Simmons is on offense lol

Will they if they’re out of playoff contention? A very real possibility as they haven’t looked very good. Why trade anyone when you can get him next year without losing assets potentially?

Also has Simmons scored 25+ points this season like Oladipo has in under 10 games?

man can we burry this thread already and move on? Harden is GONE and has moved on. So should we. Every time I log on, this thread is bumped.

lets not be the ex-girlfriend who never moves on, who stalks social media conjuring up ideas of what could have been. Some of you are seriously resembling that ex.

We've got a new squad now, lets talk, debate, argue about them

The most worrisome thing about Simmons is the lack of improvement since he came into the NBA.

Morey is such himself. He didn’t do his job and someone else made a trade and if they were to call him, he would have done so much better. He was never given the opportunity to show them his real talent, but next time he will. The Rockets could have done better deal but didn’t. He is the best GM. They should have just called him. Morey lucked out after several deals failed to get Harden the first time and didn’t happen again. DM keeps waiting for the phone to ring; while successful people make the phone ring. DM you were stale here in Houston, glad you got a new start elsewhere. Only the best to you.

    if we talking about "career"...
    - 2013 rookie class voted Oladipo as the best defender in the rookie survey
    - 2017-2018 NBA Most Improved Player
    - 2018 NBA All-Defensive First Team
    - 2018 led the league in steals
    - 2018 All-NBA Third Team
    - Two time NBA All-Star

honorable mention: didn't "won" but finished 2nd in the ROY voting; 2nd in 2015 Slam Dunk Contest; and and ... 5th on season 2 of The Masked Singer:eek::D

Simmons & Dipo has very similar accomplishments. Selected 1st & 2nd relatively in their draft class; 1st & 2nd in ROY voting; both 2-time All Star, both led the league in steals in one year; both selected All-Defensive1st team once; both selected All-NBA 3rd team once, both missed an entire season due to injury. Dipo is a better scorer/shooter, Simmons better at passing/rebounding. Simmons has better trade value right now, but when both healthy and put aside the contract situation, Dipo might be the better basketball player to build with.

personally i think Dipo's style fits this team better than Simmons. Most importantly, based on what he has done so far this season, i trust Stone. If there's a GM who knows Morey best it must be Rafael Stone, so if Stone decided that the Nets' offer is better than what Morey would have offered I'm good with that:cool:
