One of them was a fake MVP and they held on to the wrong one.

Rockets have 1 guy who shoots +50% from 3 and 2 others who shoot +40% from 3.

And a 4th guy who is the BEST corner 3ball shooter in entire NBA.

How many more or better 3P% shooters do you need on your roster if the system and players dominating the ball continue to struggle to get these specialists the ball, heck even get them on court?

Unless OP has taken another hit, he should be fine by now.

Michael porter JR would be a great get but I’m thinking the nets aren’t moving him.
Lauri Markannen or Arron Gordon would be good fits also I think.

If Beal becomes available Rockets should kick the tires on that.

I don't think were are going to get any new playmakers until at least the trade deadline. Probably not even then. John Lucas needs to teach these guys. Isn't that what he as an assistant should be doing?

    hahahah....my point exactly ....
theres soooooooo much more to winning than having a high draft pick

they drafted 2 REAL MVPS, 1 fake MVP, 2 stars, multiple great role players AND still won nothing

TORONTO had a lot less to work with ...... LIKE A LOT and they won the title

to tank is for naught... tanking is for losers , for people who need a hope because they are too lazy to get skills and knowledge

Lucas is already doing the heavy lifting on that coaches bench.

    I'm for rebuilding.

Wood is the only one who stays, unless we get a Herschel Walker/Godfather offer.

Wall - I like the veteran leadership and admire what he's done to come back from the horrific injuries. That said, when we made the trade, it was my opinion that he wouldn't play in 60% of our games in any season he's here. That hasn't changed. With John making 50/yr, that contract is a BIG facilitating piece....in any year. But I would wait until it's expiring. We will have had 2- 3 yrs of high picks, so at this point you make the move. I AM NOT giving up picks to move him before that.

PJ - Deal him anytime for a pick.

Victor - O's going to bring a lot of value come the deadline. You move him for 2 FRP's plus whatever else. That makes the Harden deal an insane haul. I know many will likely want to keep him, but it's about a longer timeframe to me.

EG - His contract is actually commensurate with his play these days. (contrary to what some might believe) Like Wall, it's a facilitating piece. He needs to go this year in the right deal while he's healthy, and playing well.

If Cousins can continue his recent uptrend, then you move him for a FRP to a contender. Not sure how this goes over with John Wall, but hrs getting paid 50 mil so who cares.

Basically, move em all save for maybe Wood.
We draft well over the next few years and make moves for young players.

I know many don't want this including PERHAPS ownership. I hope Im wrong on the latter. We shall see.
Patience is the key word now. Let's enjoy watching a young team develop. Silas is the right coach for it and JL a good assistant.

There's only one problem with your plan......We don't have 2-3 yrs. Wood signed a 3yr contract and he wants to win NOW! Players are forcing their way out with 2yrs left on their deal, just look at Harden.

Personally, I think as constructed, this is a 5 - 6 Seed in the West but to get in the upper tier the Rockets need to make another move. We need a legit PF next to Wood.

I like Marrakenen, Aaron Gordon and Randall. However, the more I look at Collins, the less I am impress with his defense. But we need the another player in the starting 5 that can get 20 pts per night

Larry Nance would be good too.

Top 10 player in def rating this season.
