    What do I do next?

The Rockets obviously need another piece and I think we need a SF, PF that can shoot to take this current roster to the next level.

We have scores but no one who can shoot.

Need to double down on our strength, defense. Become championship caliber elite.

Need to acquire 3-D forward (or 2) taller than 6'7 and preferably can also play small ball switch everything 5.

Another 3-D point guard would be helpful, one that has ability to lob or find roller in PnR. Not to mention 3P% better than 35%.

Get analytics to Silas so he can run half court offense through our most efficient offensive player and only true AS talent - CWood.

And increase the amount of transition and early offense opportunities. Rockets need to increase pace and play faster.

More sets to open up and exploit the corner 3. Wall and Dipo should not be shooting the most 3's when they are 2 of the least efficient on entire team.

I would advise that you grab a bag of Doritos. That's what I do when I get the munchies.

We need a stretch 4 that can compliment C Wood’s game. Maybe Lauri Markkanen?

Got a lot of picks and other assets to work with to try and get a good young 4 to add to the Wood-Wall-Oladipo core. Hopefully it's someone who can play defense. That's what I'm liking about this team right now. Hopefully it's someone who can continue to improve along with Wood.

Try to package Tucker and/or Gordon and/or draft picks for a fourth complementary piece to WOW, preferably a tall wing or power forward.

What do you do next? Save your draft assets and keep payroll flexibility and so what the Mavs did to get Doncic.... next year is a strong draft class and tank like a mofo.

EGo is better iso/switch defender and 3ball shooter than either Wall or Dipo.

Soonest I'd trade him is trade deadline.

What do you think about Harrison Barnes? Still 2 years left after this one but seems like a value contract since salary cap hit decreases. If we are going to try to keep on winning, seems like a good player to have that doesn't need a lot of shots and plays good defense.

    How about?

    Houston
    • Trades - PJ Tucker / Danuel House / Dante Exum / 2nd Round Pick
    • Receives - Harrison Barnes
    Denver
    • Trades - $9.5M Trade Exception
    • Receives - PJ Tucker
    Sacramento
    • Trades - Harrison Barnes
    • Receives - Danuel House / Dante Exum / Rockets 2nd Round Pick
I'm sure we can send Tucker elsewhere as well, just trying to find him a championship contender spot that he deserves.

    Trade
Oladipo or Gordon for a SF/PF. Who can defend and shoot /3s.

If Oladipo get all pick thrown in.

Play out this season. Then decide whether to fully rebuild in the offseason.

    If it's the full rebuild
Trade Wall / Gordon / Oladipo / House. Maybe even Wood.

Barnes was a very good defender with GSW but he's not nearly as good since leaving GSW.

When focused he can still be good perimeter/switch defender but he will not really be much of factor vs. bigs. So not much help for Wood defending the paint, especially vs. physical players like Lebron, AD, Kawhi, Giannis, Embiid, Jokic, etc.

Barnes is excellent stretch 4 though with 40% 3ball.

Check out my trade proposal on what I quoted you. I think it's fair.

If the rockets gets in playoff position, I don’t think trading anyone is necessary.. maybe a tweak but nothing major

Forgot to answer, while I agree that he isn't as good, I think he is a pretty good alternative to have, plus he hits threes at a solid rate and can actually slash to the basket. It would be a much better fit than what we have right now since we are running Tate/Tucker together, which can be an issue in the long term.

Plus Harrison Barnes at two years would be a tradeable contract later if the Rockets wanted to move on.

I disagree. PJ, as much as I love him, has to be traded to open up the potential of the starting line up. Preferably someone that can slash to the basket and shoot. My suggestion is Harrison Barnes if Kings are willing to play ball.
