Here’s the sad thing: 99% of bad owners would have done exactly what you suggested because they realize their franchise QB is their revenue driver and money maker. Cal McNair represents the 1% that doesn’t even understand the value of doing that. Also, if any of the reports that came out today concerning Easterby sending invasive texts to players and their parents are true, McNair is a gutless scumbag for not firing him immediately. (To be clear, a decent owner would have fired Easterby long before now.)

Cal is the dumbest owner in all of sports. There are guys that are frugal, egotistical, meddling, arrogant, etc but the only one that is confirmed dumb is Cal. His brain is the size of a peanut.
I’ve had similar thoughts from the Jacksonville perspective, but I would add “Which does ‘Urban Meyer’ think gives him the better opportunity for success? And just how much power does he have in making/influencing such decisions?”
Well look i don't know if he bombed, but he interviewed for SIX open NFL head coach positions this offseason. SIX. He also interviewed for multiple openings EACH of the past two years.... Maybe, just maybe, he sucks at interviewing.
The funny and annoying part is cal and these guys think they are so smart. All while in the middle of this have a terrible loser history and a top qb that wants to be traded to anywhere
I don't think anyone should be criticized for their religion, it's your right. But it's amazing what religion will drive people to do.
Organizationally, want to reiterate our commitment to Deshaun Watson. We looking forward to spending more time with him this spring. No interest in trading him. Best way you handle relationships is communicate and be forthright.
You have under him contract for 5 years. Cal needs to get EVERYONE in a room and they need to talk like men. No tweets, no phone Calls, and third party communication. EVERYONE is under contract. Assign everyone their roles and everyone needs to do their damn job. PERIOD.

After looking at his pic and hearing more about him I see Bill Obrien got so much power and Easterby is where he is. Jerry and his son look like Ozzie Newsome and the Ravens compared to these guys.
We left everything until the end. Last minute to get a GM and flop on that to Easterby’s hire. Who did Watson actually want as coach? Does anyone know that it was actually EB? No one said he was the man or perfect hire. The timing from firing to hiring was a cluster. Also, how many interviews did Culley even have for HC positions? let alone failed OC positions that he flopped interviews for? Yup goes both ways. Wish him the best though.
