No, He's saying that Christian Wood is about to show the world he's on Giannis's level.

    Christian Wood To The Moon

I particularly love watching his giant first step, yo-yo shake to the basket, and then hammer it down. It’s deceptively slow but so skilled and finessed and powerful.

    A simple joy to watch.

Unlike a certain so and so, brute force and boring.

I wish our guards will eventually learn to throw him lobs like what James did. There is a big dimension of Wood’s O game that is missing. And yet he is already so damn efficient. Phew.

Wall is supposed to be a top PnR guard but I'm just not seeing it.

Throwing a lob or hitting pocket passes is an artform.

Why do I watch games and think... we don’t run enough plays for wood, especially tonight against someone like Kanter where he could’ve dropped 40???????

Doesn't need to - he already made Giannis obsolete

Defense exists also. Giannis led the league in DBPM the last two years. Wood has never been positive contributor. Giannis is one year older.

Clutchfans loves itself some offensive stats.

Man, all you do nowadays is looks at stats and results and say, “Nah.” Either open your eyes or develop some actual arguments.

Why is Giannis taking 6 threes a game?

Yes, really. But I don't know why I'm engaging in good faith with someone who is trying to argue Wood is a better defender (or in the same universe) as Giannis. I love Wood, but that is absurd.

I wasn’t arguing that Wood is a better defender. I was arguing he is a plus defender, and he is.

    Some good changes were made
I wanted and good to see them work
(I.e.Nwaba out of the starting lineup..he is a great bench man)

No one is saying Wood is better the Giannis NOW.
BUT he is a late bloomer and has more upside at this point. I think Giannis will only make marginal improvement. Meanwhile Wood has alot of work to do and can improve immensely.

Yeah, if there is one thing that is comparable about Giannis and Wood is that he seems to always hunt for the front of the rim first. He's not trying to draw a foul or finesse it off the glass he's trying to dunk it on your head. Which is pretty alien to us as fans after years of Harden and Kevin Martin who went in weak looking for contact.

I don't know how to explain it, but Wood jumps faster than anyone I've ever seen. He jumps and is at the rim instantly

Wood is also unassuming like Tim Duncan.

Wood is going places. We better keep him
