You hit the nail on the ****ing head. It’s so criminal it makes my head spin. I saw a screen shot where RH took someone’s GME shares and closed it out automatically, at $118/share, when it was trading in the 240s!! I would lose my ****ing mind. That’s why I was asking, realistically, what’s the end game for us retail investors, assuming these lawsuits do go through?
My mom angrily bought 2000 shares of AMC last night. I have a much smaller position LOL. I’m worried she got in too late, but I can definitely see rage pumping these up today.

i called up my regulator today; apparently user deposits to ibkr in my country have to be kept in a different account according to their rules... hope i can at least claw back my initial capital if we end up with no more solvent brokerages over the weekend lol. Sounds like robin hood's liquidity problems just to meet clearing house deposit reqs are very REAL, but i can't see regulators letting them default.

One side of establishment is now trying to cash in on the anti establishment populism. Portnoy is such a tool but the elites don't lose, they just keep pivoting to whatever keeps making money.
I don't like the idea of hurting retail investors but we also have to send a message to awful businesses like RH. They should absolutely be allowed to fail. Most investors will be bailed out by the SIPC guarantees on brokerage accounts. I'd rather bail out the individual investors. The government needs to send a message to the industry that RH's crazy risk taking won't get a bailout. Very few are probably aware but a lot of them might be in the 0% capital gains bracket (especially if they're married). I really wish I was smart enough to get into investing when I could benefit from 0% capital gains.
LOL. And the elites are loving making more money while pretending to be cheerleaders. Good for the individual investors who got in early to make money but the people aren't speaking. For whatever reason the people think short sellers and high frequency traders are the entirety of Wall St.
