Yes but wanting our team to be thinking about the future makes me a Rocket fan. These are meaningless wins against bad teams. It means nothing. Having a trash offensive team but a good defensive team will get you exposed quickly against good teams.


Look at who weve played.

 

Kept yelling at the TV for Oladipo and Wall to attack Kanter/Melo.

Harden spoiled us with taking advantage of matchups.

 

I know how good he is. I just don’t like him.

 

Tate is Tucker's Mini Me. They both suffer from being horrible scorers. They are also both starters so why will Tate replace Tucker?

Nwaba played 1/3 the mins of Tucker, no **** he'll have a lower BPM since barely got any pt to do anuthing. If you give him the same PT as Tucker then guess what they have the same BPM wtf.

Regardless what the reasons are why Tucker's advanced stats are low, the reality is they are low and that shows he isnt good for the team RN. Lets suppose his numbers will go back up wjen he gets corner 3s, when will his corner 3s come back? Theres no radical change gonna happen in the offense we arent getting Harden back. Unless you have some cache with Silas to design plays Tucker then he should get less PT cuz he is hurting the team.

If you think he isnt then just look at his advanced stats. That objectively says he is hurting the team.

 

if you're a guard or SF and you play no defense, you can't play here. this is the new standard and the new culture moving forward.

At this point I don't think it's Silas offense that's bad. Our three guards are just limited in their their play making abilities in the half court. We don't have Harden or Luka.

Gordon Dipo and Wall usually just makes up their mind that they are driving to the hoop, and that's it. If they can't do that they just pass it to the next person to iso

Do you remember what happens when Nwaba starts, it was not good. He's also a horrible shooter, worse than Tate.. Nwaba is probably better than Tucker but he's more effective coming off the bench. Nwaba is super effective coming off the bench though. Like really good.

The system he is in is why and he's declined. I want him to get traded. But I differ from you thinking he's the reason this team isnt good offensively, this team isnt good offensively because they dont really have good offensive players. Tucker leaving is not gonna change that a whole lot.

Well Silas should fix that, but he cant. So he's relying on the defense. When Tucker leaves our defense will be worse but our offense will be right where it is tbh.

 

The guys better are on the bench, it would depend on who has the hot hand for the night. Tonight it was House and Sterling Brown. Im not saying not play Tucker just reduce his mins and play somebody who is obv playing better.

Plus minus for the game is also affected by your teammates, for example if your teammate is +5 and you are -1 and both of you played the exact same time you would both get +4. Since Tucker plays so much his plus minus gets normalized by his teammates.

You have to look at his season nos and there you'll see his advanced metrics are mostly negative esp the all in one stats like BPM and VORP.

Maybe 1 reason he is getting so much PT is cuz he is being showcased but I really dont know how his 0-2 pt night makes him attractive. Maybe all this defense hype will boost his stock thats the only thing I'm hoping for.

 

Most likely hunting for a 8th and sneak in and maybe take 1 from the Lakers or Clippers.

We don't have anyone who can consistently create good open looks for others. What happens in the crunch if it gets to that point against an actual team?

 

I dont mind Tucker starting and closing games what I'm saying is if Nwaba is coming off the bench on fire then he should get more mins. Tonight for example House and Brown were shooting hot from 3 if we gave them more PT instead of Tucker then the offense will look better.

Offense looking good is about percentages right? Replace Tucker's 0% with House and Brown's 40% then guess what thats objectively better. You cant say nothing will change when you go from 0% from 3 to 40% from 3.

 

If Harden had played we would have been up 30-10 then lost because he huffed and puffed his way slowly down the court and started taking 20 3's and chucking and turned the ball over the last 3 seconds.

 

That's why you watch the game and look at who plays defense and their rotations, etc. There is a reason he played so many minutes.

 

So the Rocks come back after being 20 points down to the number 4 team yet “fans” complain. Maybe those of you complaining should wait until the starters get to play 20+ games together.
