What's funny to me is that Christian Wood was seen as a gamble by some experts due to putting up inflated numbers on a bad team (Detroit). While Stone is smart and took an analytics-based risk, good players on bad teams don't seem to enjoy the hype that good players on good teams posses. Also, quick examples of lower draft picks producing at MVP levels are Giannis (15th pick) and Jokic (second round), as mentioned in another thread. Nothing is certain and yes you're more likely to end up with a Luka if you have the third pick than a Giannis if you have #15, but idk if its helping our current roster's trade value enough to offset risk if we choose the tanking route. Long story short, let's see how we do on Monday if a full healthy roster shows up.

Tend to agree also. Appears to be latter. Players are sitting not for covid now but for general soreness.

"Underman tanking" Different starters rest each night, but those on the battlefield will try to stop the tank.

As far as rim protection, he's our last line of defense. His effort is certainly appreciated. :D

It’s extremely rare to get a Jokic or a Hiannis and even then it took at least 5 years for Giannis to develop into what he is now. I’m not saying it can’t happen but I would rather gamble on a 50-50 top 4 pick.

He was averaging more when Harden was primary ballhandler.

That team is much more of a joke than FerTits will ever be. Imagine passing on PG AD combo cuz you cant afford it. At least Fertita extended Cp3 and brought WB in.

This was the first time the team was at full strength, and they beat a solid, likely playoff-bound team coming back from a large deficit. Barring injuries, the team will only get more cohesive and effective. I think they make the playoffs easily.

    Our wins -

    Dallas
    Orlando

    Detroit
    Washington
    Sac x 2
    Portland - 3 starters
    SA

    Most were close games.

    Think they'll stay healthy?

Guys are going to get dealt too.

Your point? This is the NBA. There are no gimmes. I also like that you mentioned the "3 starters" thing with Portland but failed to note our health status for most of that stretch.

My point is we likely won't make the playoffs, but are going to reap a nice haul of picks/young players.

Do you think Wall and Boogie will play in at least 60% of our games?
You don't think we're going to cash in Oladipo for 2 FRP's +?
