No amount of spoilers you post will ever prove that Tilman isn't a terrible owner. Spoiler ...because he is.
Viva Scola! Getting Luis stands out as the second time we focked over the Spurs (getting Max being the 1st). While he wasn’t a key player in getting us a title, like Vernon in ‘94, in 2009 he was a key player in getting us so close to the Finals that we could smell it. We were the only team to take the eventual champions, the Lakers, to 7 games. Scola was far from the only player who stepped up in that series, a series that ranks as one of the greatest in Rockets history, in my opinion, because the odds were so much against us. We were without Tracy McGrady for the entire playoffs and had lost Deke early in the Portland series (game 2 was his last NBA game), which was far from a cakewalk. Going into game one, we faced a well rested Lakers team that had dusted off Utah 4-1. So winning game 1 in LA was a shocker. The talking heads kept babbling about Kobe’s “sore throat” both before and after the game. He didn’t play like it bothered him. This was the game that saw Battier needing 4 stitches for a cut by his eye that was bleeding so much they needed a mop to soak up the blood. With Shane on Kobe, Bryant was 8-22. Yao had a great game, with our defense being the real story. Evened the series in Game 4, when Brooks played like a madman, scoring 34. One classic play saw Artest throwing a long pass to Aaron at the basket that he somehow leaped up, grabbed, and tossed in as he was going down. Crazy! We came back and tied that series twice. No McGrady, no Yao (tried to play on a broken foot!). Just more heart than that team should have been capable of. Double-doubles from Luis for 3 games running. Outmanned, we finally ran out of gas in game 7, the only team to challenge the Lakers. I know most of us saw that series. I just enjoyed recalling it.
I really like Stone and excited for the future Morey’s head got big after the Harden trade and he talked out of his ass way to much every offseason
Don’t know why I read your post with Howard Cosell voice?? “Down goes Frazier, down goes Frazier!”... Kudos on your memory, I vaguely remember half of what you just said... ....... ....... .......
Getting Nwaba was the right decision. Dumping Hartenstein was the wrong one. We should've waived Bruno Caboclo or Michael Frazier instead
Man, I cant wait till Tucker leaves this squad and can actually produce on a contender. This fanbase has treated him with absolutely zero class.
he airballed the only 3pt attempt yesterday... how come silas didnt work on his 3pt shot? its basically the only thing he needs to work on/correct
