I know its really up to both of them, but do any of yall know when they will start talking about what they want to do to the team and start calling other GMs to do trades?

Also, when can we start talking/signing Free Agents?

Carroll should have been sent packing 2 years ago.

I would like to bring in a new GM. If he thinks we should keep JVG, obviously keep him. If he wants his own coach in there, fire JVG.

Unfortunately, I don't think that will happen. We invested too much money into JVG to can him after 1 year.

Trading can either happen on draft day, or after mid-July. Mid-July is also when free agents can start signing, though discussions with teams can start at the beginning of that month. I doubt the Rockets will be looking for any more rookies, so expect the real offseason excitement to start in about two and a half months- a LONG two and a half months.

Is it me or does the NBA offseason seem like the longest out of all sports. Especially when it gets to August, the last 3 months seem like an eternity.

Hopefully, CD and Les will make this an interesting summer. It's only been 2 days and the "trade Steve" and "get T-Mac" threads have already overloaded my mind.

How could anyone look at JVG and think he takes days off?

My hunch is he was pouring over tape of the season the morning after Game 5 vs LA.

On Thursday morning CD should have been on the phone with Orlando's GM about seeing what it would take to get McGrady off their hands.

And then CD should check in with Orlando each week to keep up with the situation.

Full Court Press for McGrady, Elton Brand and Ray Allen.

    CD, be PROACTIVE!
