The only things I want with shells are bullets and sunflower seeds.

The bigger question is beige shell or red shell pistachios? ;)

The ones you shell yourself are definitely superior. Doesn’t matter though. The world’s finest pistachio can’t hold a candle to an average pecan.

I always wondered how they fit the pistachio through those narrow slits in the shells. Must use the same technique that is used to put pirate ships in bottles.

    Nutty for nuts?
    • Salty nuts
    • Mixed nuts
What if you can create your nut tier list.

How'd one rate them as if these nuts are dangling in front your face.
    • Who is s-tier?
    • Are you nuts in s-tier partly because it's eaten with shells?
    • Does pistachios stack against the established PeaNut?
    • Are pistachios better than Coconuts, because they're not harvested by monkeys.
    • Are pistachios better than Cashews?
      • What about after you learned that cashews grow from apples looking like dis:

    • Any seedaphobia in the nut community?
So many nuts... so many... all deez nuts.

Agree with this. For me adding salt completely changes the flavor profile to me, and I generally prefer unsalted.

Lightly salted is always the key. The contrast of the salt makes that pistachio all the more nuttier and sweeter. Still good without but I think theyre better with a little bit of salt.

Those are Marañónes. My mom makes a tasty fruit juice with them. We bring back tons of raw cashews when we come back from El Salvador.

LIFE PRO TIP: Use a discarded shell to pry open these partially opened Pistachios. Your finger nails and teeth will thank you.
