Tech and Baylor are very similar that way. But UH's commitment to control the boards is just phenomenal. Sampson gets total buy-in from these kids. They're so well coached and so easy to root for.
I agree fully. But it does make you wonder what happened with Caleb Miles. And to a lesser degree players who left early but were unlikely to be drafted.
The same thing that happens to every other good program. Not enough minutes for players who want to actually play. People need to stop thinking good players are happy on the bench, especially kids with aspirations to play professionally. That’s just part of having actual talent and the cycle of a great college program. It won’t be the last time
Probably was just a minutes thing. This was supposed to be his team but just could never get going with the ankle injury and covid. No way this dude would be happy with just being the 6th man.
yeah the big breakout from sasser has been much bigger than originally anticipated. Credit to him though, he ran away with the opportunity when given the chance. couple that with him and grimes developing into a great pair this year along with DJ's ability to fit in between the two, 10 spot minutes or so just isn't it for mills. This in a way actually helps Mark, their highest recruit here anyway who is next in line. He'll be in a much bigger role next year and is getting meaningful reps to get his feet wet now
Tulane and ECU do not belong in this conference. Tulsa does well despites its limitation but the other two are just a massive drag on the conference.
