Anyone know how two way contracts work? Is there a reason this guy hasn't been signed? I am afraid that someone would just offer him a contract and scoop him up. I get Rockets can match offer but no reason to get in a bidding war?
imho nobody can sign him for now besides rockets because hes under 2 way contract.. the worst that can happen is for him to refuse to sing the real contract with rockets and sign for someone else next year
Players can’t be poached by another team while on a two-way contract. It gives rights to the Affiliate team the whole season, even if he exhausts his 50 games . Only the Rockets have the right to convert Mason to a standard NBA contract for rest of year (like we did with House), or for longer (like we did with Clark). and at end of season, he’s RFA, if not already signed longer like Clark was.
It's ridiculous how someone who shots like Jones can't get consistent minutes, even when this team is at full strength. No excuse really.

I'd sign him to a House type of contract right now and drop Kurucs. Kurucs is useless. May need to flip Exum before he is useful too.
