I honestly think the Rockets will be fine, but the Texans.. they'll be at the bottom of the NFL for the next two decades. The new Browns/Lions. As far as Watson.. if the relationship isn't repairable he will be traded. Of course they'd have to get the value needed for him which is at the very least 3 1sts and maybe even 4.. If 3 firsts and other good assets aren't on the table you let him sit until it is. It's sad, but Deshaun is obviously very upset and is letting the Texans get absolutely trashed by the media. I don't think it's good business for the Texans either keeping him if he doesn't buy in soon. I'll probably stop watching football for good after the Superbowl. Nick will be a solid GM, but the Texans are just doomed to be ass.
If it comes down to image... Watson actually being “mad” enough to sit out games will end up ostracizing his image more-so (especially amongst the current teammates) than anything happening to him now. He’s protected at the moment as there’s nothing to report for.... nothing to do. It’s also likely why he won’t demand anything publicly... as he doesn’t have to. The media is pressuring for something because that’s the narrative, but it won’t make sense for the Texans to do anything until they’re blown away with an offer and its for-sure an unsalvagable situation.
