Oh they will definitely be hammered on that, and some of it will be unfair. I despise the narratives that national media come up with, but I think Texans management has brought that on themselves by allowing someone like Easterby to fire people because they were not a 'character fit".

Doesn’t matter Brian. Great man of faith, great leader of men. It’s a great day to be a Texan! Now let us pray...

I hope the reason some of the candidates are getting a second interview is, maybe Watson is involved for these interviews in person this time.

And the Texans will let him decide who the next head coach will be.

They need them in person to ensure they know the gospel by heart and they aren't reading off of a script.

I agree with the premise. But what changed?
Frazier has a history of average defenses.

The appeal of EB is the unknown. We've all seen Frazier and Caldwell hire a staff before. We've seen them produce mediocre teams. We haven't seen what EB would do - it might be a disaster or a spectacular success, but either way, it's not a known retread. In this case, the devil you don't know is more intriguing than the devils you do and aren't really impressed by.

Also worth noting that Frazier was last a HC in 2013 and no one has offered him a HC opportunity in the last 8 years. Caldwell has been unable to get a HC job since 2017. As much as EB has been passed over lots of times, those guys have also.

This would surprise me... and why would Frazier leave a team that he has a much better chance of eventually becoming a head coach again, given the likelihood that the Bills window is at least the next 3 years.

Unless Cal is literally throwing all his money at the problem...

There is no way the Easterby’s over on Kirby could pull this off, it’s just fantasy. We’ll get Leslie Frazier as HC and we will trade Watson for Sam Darnold, a first and a third strictly because Jesus ya’ll.

Exactly. That would be dumb as hell to leave a team that’s a step away from SB to come here for same job title.
