Terrible for texans. Maybe he will be one of many coaches like Kubiak, vrable, Shanahan who excelled once leaving texans
Kubiak and Shanahan made Matt Schaub a multiple time pro bowler and Arian Foster an all pro. Vrabel was descent, the defense was at least productive. Weaver ****ing sucked and had no solutions to the mountain of problems the defense had. The run defense was ****, the linebackers were ****, the secondary was ****, the line was ****. They put zero pressure on opposing qbs, couldn't stop a runny nose, couldn't cover a baby with a blanket, caused a paltry number of turnovers and were responsible for almost all of the losses. Like I said good riddance, he wasn't ready, good that he's going to weaken the ravens defense
Point is they were allnheavioy criticized and their leaving the texans was welcomed (maybe not so much with shanahan) also you thought the run defense, secondary, line backers and line were 4 stars? I would have rated then lower
yeah, that was my thought too. How can you dog a coach that much when *checks roster* that’s what he was dealing with? He never had a shot with our CB depth and other defensive issues
Weaver might have been in a little over his head this year but I don’t think he was the route cause, by any means. A couple more years of cutting his teeth could prove beneficial before becoming a DC again
I tend to agree with this, but on the other hand, can you think of even one single thing he did that was a positive? I don’t blame Weaver entirely, but he didn’t exactly bring much to the party either.
They look at tape -did he call the right play ... if so then if they look at their personal who is more talented and tackles better than boom.. that’s why
I was encouraging Castor to start this thread right before the week 17 game started. So excited about the offseason. A new era! By day 8.. Delete the thread, please.
Man, the more and more I think of the last 2 years the more I get pissed off. Fired a GM which lead to bad trades and contracts Fired a Cap specialist lead to having Cap issues Fired their PR Chief leading to bad media relations Just about every decision they have made in the Cal era has been a bad one (except firing O'brien). From firing front office personnel to trading players based on culture, Cal is sinking this ship. Texans are now damned if they do, damned if they don't on trading Watson, and it's all self-inflicted. Hope more behind the scene stuff starts coming out.
“I process it by going to Hawaii for a week and I probably should have stayed there.” ... “I might just head back there.” LOL
I don't agree with everything Arian says, but he is right, it is obvious that the Texans organization really doesn't give a ****.
