I know he's on a two way, if he balls out and is a solid contributor this year, is he an UFA or RFA next year?

We should worried about his contract this year. His NBA days are numbered.

Have you even watched him play? Con respecto, I don't think so.

I think it was meant like, Jones is on a two-way and literally must be signed to an NBA contract to continue playing past a certain date.

with the health of the team coming around, the rockets can stash him in the bubble for some time if they want, but it's likely Stone is negotiating a team friendly deal now. May not be able to trigger the deal until after further trades free up more cap room, but Mason has gotta be feeling pretty confident in his future at the moment.

I think they now get 45 games or something like that. It used to be based on days with the team:

I didn't know that. Wonder how much the job security would mean to him? Would he take a deal like Martin Jr. took?

It's 50 games "active" for this season. It used to be 45 games. I think they used to count travel days and practice days into those days, but this season they don't. So it's basically he can play in 50 of the 72 games on the 2-way contract, and he can practice and travel with the team during that time and it won't count towards those "active" days. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

He'll be an RFA, assuming he doesn't sign a new contract during the season (like Gary Clark did).

Even if Rockets convert him to a rest-of-year deal (like House), he'll still be an RFA (with a higher Qualifying Offer requirement).

Thanks, hopefully we can get him on a 3 year 10M like house.
