Keep your foot down. They must all be held completely accountable.

It was a riot not a coup. A coup is a very organized attempt to take over government

Please stop dick riding. I mean really why did you bring this up. People brought this thread up in relation to my post immediately after the riot.

    Random duck riding

You've been given the definition of a coup multiple times in this thread and yet you continue to pretend you haven't. You also said nobody was calling it a coup and I listed like eight different links in the media calling it a coup.

I think your going to find a great deal of cooperation between the Whitehouse, the D O D, the Trump Campaign and Cruz and Hawley. Remember, Trump is an insane narcissist, rational thinking does not apply. He was trying everything his sick mind could think of, pressuring everyone, threatening everyone, scheming every way he could think of to not have to face losing. As I said in the other thread I think Cruz and Hawley were just pushing their grandstanding to capture party leadership, a valiant try in an effort they knew would never work. I think for Trump though, he was really trying to somehow anyhow remain President. And, everyone complicit in that effort is guilty of sedition.

Actually I didn't read the definition cause I don't give a duck if you call it coup. You bringing up a months old thread to argue about a word. Get a life

I'm basing my definition on what I have seen as coups in history.

Have you ever seen something like the events at the Capitol called a coup?

    @CometsWin

Were the rioters gonna put a government in place? Were they gonna set up camp at the White House so Trump couldn't be physically removed? What would have happened next had they stopped the electoral college vote?

I think many were trying to replace the government. They wanted to stop the certification so that (illogically) that Trump could remain President.

Being stupid does not mean they did not have the intent to stop Biden from lawfully assuming the Presidency. That's a coup.

Just going with CNN's definition of a peaceful protest established and reinforced all summer long.

Pretty much all historical coups have been led by army officers. It doesn't matter how stupid they were in believing they could stop the transition if was nothing but a riot

What is wrong with you man? Every post you make is bitter and disingenuous. Who cares what CNN says? The truth is what’s important, not cable news’ take (which you are twisting anyways). The capital riots have zero to do with BLM protests, but every dim-witted right-winger I come across brings them up, I guess because they are afraid to criticize their own kind or the dim-witted thing.

Some people have a hard time accepting they were wrong.
Some people just say stuff to stir up stuff, it gives them recognition they wouldn't otherwise receive.
    Some people are obstinately stupid.
    Some people are certifiably insane
You just never know from written text.
