What can we get for Porter Jr if he plays well?

Idk why people think that you can just throw any group together with no camp, different guys in and out of the lineup, 2 guys who are used to having the ball nonstop, and 1 guy who doesn't want to be there. I'm a Porter fan but now you are trying to tell one of the best PnR players in basketball to learn from Porter? Lol. Read this
    https://www.google.com/amp/s/fansided.com/2017/01/11/john-wall-pick-and-roll-pass-assist/amp/

There aren’t many players who score out of the pick-and-roll as well as John Wall. On the season, Wall generates 44.8 percent of his points as the ball-handler in the NBA’s most used set and ranks in the 67.7 percentile with 0.88 points per possession, according to NBA.com. The list of players currently scoring more points per game out of the pick-and-roll is only four-deep: Kemba Walker, James Harden, Damian Lillard and DeMar DeRozan.

However, that only tells half the story when it comes to Wall’s dominance in the pick-and-roll, because he records a large amount of his 10.1 assists per game — ranking him third in the NBA behind Harden and Russell Westbrook — in those situations. In fact, sometimes the threat alone of him running a pick-and-roll is enough to create an opening for one of his teammates.

Wood better start practicing with Wood then, otherwise that claim of being one of the best in PnR is hyperbole.

What he does on the Rockets is more important.

And by the way, the Porter line was tongue in cheek, still celebrating this win so playing nice.

Still cannot fathom why you do not understand efficiency of a 2 man PnR.

There is nothing to understand. We aren't disagreeing. My point is that you make it sound like it's a proven fact that it wont be good with Wall and Wood which is ridiculous when they haven't even ran it much or built up any chemistry as the main duo. Why don't you just wait a few games without Harden. It's like saying Kyrie is having zero impact on Hardens game right now

Again, what does Harden have to do with how effective Wall is in PnR with Wood?

Are you saying Harden could have been even more effective in PnR with Wood if Wall was not on the floor?

Because Harden is a much better catch and shoot player than Wall is.

    That is not even debatable.

Because Wall was trying to fit in and cater to Harden. Yes it's going to effect the way you run it especially early on. These dudes have zero chemistry and y
No use of arguing. You are a person who lives in black and white with no other factors. Like I just seen a thread on another board asking is Harden still peak just because of the way he's looked these past 2 games like Kyrie isn't a factor. Other factors matter but if you don't understand that, I don't know what to tell you. Wall is at the top of the league in assist every year. To think that he won't be able to run a PnR with Wood is crazy

    Best game of the season.

Ignoring them not having Porz, Powell, Richardson, Kleber, Finney Smith.

If anyone is black and white it's you.

No one has said Wall is unable to run PnR with Wall only that the Wall-Wood PnR is nowhere near as efficient as Harden-Wood PnR.

Wall prefers to whip the ball to corners or above the arc instead of feeding Wood.

And when he does feed Wood, its clumsy. For a guy supposedly so expert in PnR with roller of Wood's caliber they are clearly not in sync.

You refuse to accept what has actually happened and instead are trying to turn this into a different argument about what can happen.

All true, Silas was going to win 1 or 2 regardless, that's his old team and extra motivated and stuff.

Glad for Boogie......not really for Ego because he keeps on having a lot of streaky and mediocre games for a 'leader of the team'.

    4 straight 20+ games.

He is becoming the model of consistency compared to Wall and Oladipo.

Plus he is the the healthiest of the 3.

I am concerned about House and BMac. They were trained under the previous management style of play, which was shoot a thousand 3s per game, dribble incessantly and stand motionless while person dribbling incessantly goes one-on-one. Can they change and adapt to this new style that we sometimes play?
