The us-china trade deficit is back to -$30bn a month. Even by the previous admin's own simplistic, narrow-minded metrics they have failed.
"well they get laid off anyway" is a terrible, callous, approach. These layoffs are a direct result of a Presidential action, so it is different.
It still sucks for those people though. I support what Biden did, but it is certainly a tough choice to make, but I see the long term goal here and I'm hoping they get to that long term goal.
Different than what? You are so hell bent on laying this at the feet of Biden how about all of the layoffs because of Trumps tariff war. https://thehill.com/homenews/admini...o-voted-for-trump-blames-him-for-layoffs-asks https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/trump-apos-tariffs-led-layoffs-161811827.html https://www.aei.org/carpe-diem/trum...-prices-and-1000s-of-construction-job-losses/ https://reason.com/2018/08/08/tariffs-kill-another-126-jobs/ How many pick sixes has Trump thrown?
Not belittling the people but that industry is very volatile and this guy trying to tie it around the neck of Biden is crazy.
Have I tied the O&G industry at large to Biden's neck? No. I am only talking about this pipeline and the jobs directly connected to it. You stretch and whatabout every single thing I say that criticizes or calls into question anything from the Left. Trump is not the President anymore. Biden is, so decisions he makes are as open for scrutiny or debate as was anything the previous admin did. Using the volatility of the industry as an excuse to just dismiss the fact this Presidential decision has cost people jobs is extremely asinine.
So you ignored my other post. Why don't you comment on the pick sixes thrown by Trump in his tariff wars? What about those jobs lost?
Came here looking for ... "Hey I am laying some serious Extra Large Pipe. Your mom says hi." ... and found this instead. Disappointed.
Nobody has done the Freakanomics weighing these layoffs against the renewable jobs it gains and the environmental and health costs of the XL. And the political influence it has on industry absolutely is necessary to promote the transition to renewables. The statement is made that change is happening now!
Thank you for further proving my point in my previous post. You literally used the phrase "what about" when I specifically pointed out your propensity to overuse whataboutism.....man this is rich. Keep it up.
