Durant certainly likes Harden. As for Kyrie, I don’t think Kyrie appreciates someone better than him that does the same thing he does being added.... Harden appears to be trying to make it work but Kyrie wants no part of that. Harden really wants a title, Kyrie already has one and will let everything burn before working it out. The Nets are going to need to move one of them because Kyrie isn’t sharing ****.
Damn so much certainty. Perhaps Kyrie loves him being there and would absolutely love to beat Lebron in the Finals. Perhaps all 3 of them would love to beat Lebron in the Finals, with all 3 having their own reasons.
Yup. Durant is buddies with Harden. The best use for Kyrie on this team, IMO, is him coming off the bench with staggered minutes with Harden, but he is not going to accept it. Nets need to trade him for defense. The one downside of trading Kyrie is that then the Nets are left with one ball handler in Harden and that is problematic in the playoffs.
Agree to disagree. I'm pretty sure if Durant had a say in it, he'd rather have kept his other teammates rather than have Harden on the team at the moment. Durant is very lukewarm on Harden.
He's sooooo frickin Fat! Like there is thick and there is fat! I think the real reason he didn't want to wear Rockets Red was because people would start calling him fat Albert!
Very doubtful, because he's closer to Kyrie than he is to Harden, and he knows that Harden's skills would conflict with Kyrie's. But Kyrie's mental antics forced the front office's hands, so Durant couldn't do anything about it.
Harden would have had BKN at the top of his destination list if he didn’t have reason to think Durant wanted him there too.
He would have had 20 assists tonight again if guys didn’t miss a lot of open looks. He had a ton of hockey assists because the defense gravitated toward him. He’s literally cut down his shot attempts and has bought into being the PG. Kyrie was actually passing tonight and played within the team. If Kyrie buys in and they can land McGee and some FA wing help they will be in the finals.
He's being less aggressive on purpose. He's just taking it easy and finding passes rather than score the ball. Doesn't have to score that much with Kyrie and KD next to him. It's probably more of a coaching play with Kyrie next to Harden. Kyrie will not play the playmaking role all that much. It isn't a coincidence why Harden is being less aggressive. Some player has to be the playmaker of the team and I think Harden will sacrifice his points just so the team has a playmaker. Harden is most likely just taking it easy at the moment and trying to find his way into his new team. The Nets might not click till another 10 games or so. I guarantee you if it's just Harden and KD next to one another, Harden drops 30 plus every single time. It's much easier to play with KD than it is to play with someone like Kyrie. It's going to take some time for Harden and Kyrie to develop some chemistry.
He is doing what one of either Kyrie or himself needed to do. He’s being the playmaker on the team. I bet he will average 12 plus assists at the end of the season.
Doesn't matter! He's still Fat! He makes Charles Barkley look like a Supermodel. Holy geeze is he looking to become a Sumo Wrestler? Look I know the guy is still one of the best Basketball players ever but he literally looks like he swallowed Westbrook! If he doesn't get into shape soon the nets are not winning it. We've depleted their bench and they got Harden who has no lift and looks about 2 steps slower!
Harden is not doing great in this role yet. I feel that at times he is just forcing the playmaking, instead of taking what the defense gives him. He is racking up TO left and right by forcing some plays where he should be shooting. I do think he will improve, but he cant turn into Nash just because they want him more to be more of a playmaker than a scorer. If the nets dont improve defensively they are going to have a terrible time in the playoffs.
Harden 8 shots and 12 points...that doesn't even feel right lol. Didn't see any of this game but the numbers look like they struggled with a struggling Miami team without their best player.
