Really? Destroying a locker and punching a girl and carrying a gun and drugs in his car is “going through a lot”. Keep in mind he hasn’t played a game this year. Maybe having a full time job will be just what he needs.
That is totally my bad, I thought you were talking about clutchfans. Which it has been discussed a ton. I’m not sure about media types. I could see the talk being one a more high profile acquisition and exit. My apologies.
Destroying the locker was a bit much, but understandable. It was very disrespectful on the Cavaliers part. No matter how you look at it. Drugs, nothing new in professional sports. The gun, not his. He didn't even know it was in the car. This is my 1st time hearing about the assault on the young woman. This is the only red flag imo.
You have to be kidding me. People are going to weird lengths to downplay the issue surrounding a player that was just dumped for free by a team that thought he was their best prospect
the thing is we don’t even know all that has gone on. there was a cleveland.com article that said it goes way beyond what’s reported
Essentially this individual has been spoiled and enabled by those around him his entire life .... You obviously weren't spoiled and enabled or you wouldn't have been over in Afghanistan .... When you are surrounded by people who enable your poor behavior .... you don't see it as problematic. I kinda liken this to an alcoholic having to hit that proverbial rock bottom before they understand that they must change .... or else. This "kid" (mental) obviously has physical talent .... the question is if he realizes he's one step away from being out of the league and pulls his head out of his ass. The answer to that lies in where the individual's rock bottom is. I don't want to hazard a guess on the character of someone I never met .... so I dunno if this is enough for him to realize he needs to change .... or not.
I read somewhere they're going to try to get his head right first, so I wouldn't expect any time soon.
On Father's Day Kevin Porter Jr said on his IG Post Dad need you more now than ever. He needs a Father Figure, a Mentor. Kevin is 20 years old, hopefully the Veterans on the Rockets and John Lucas, Tad Brown, Stephen Silas can guide him.
