It's easier to lie when disabled because nobody wants to attack someone in a wheelchair.

I will criticize the writer for being lazy. Initially she criticized him for calling the Peachtree Road Race the largest 10k, not realizing they bill themselves as the largest road race. She also criticized him for saying he's going to the US open in June 2019 making it seem like something made up, but June is when golf holds the US Open, so it could easily be that.

The fact this guy was the lesser of the two evils in that primary is quite amazing considering what a complete and utter piece of **** he is.

The Republican party is such a joke. This guy wasn't old enough to drink until 3 years ago...LOL. He must have worlds of experience in the 8 years since turning 16. SMH

Madison Cawthorn Lied About Crash That Partially Paralyzed Him, Pal Says
The right-wing star claimed his friend left him to die in a "fiery tomb." The friend told The Washington Post he pulled Cawthorn from the wreck.

But the friend, Bradley Ledford, told the newspaper in his first public comments about the crash that he pulled Cawthorn from the wreckage.

“It hurt very badly that he would say something as false as that,” Ledford told the paper. “That is not at all what happened. I pulled him out of the car the second that I was able to get out of the car.”

That was just one element of a story rich with lies, the Post reported. Cawthorn claimed he was “declared dead” after the wreck. He wasn’t. The police report noted he was “incapacitated.” Cawthorn said he was preparing before the crash to start studies at the U.S. Naval Academy ― a boast that he eventually turned into a campaign ad. But the news outlet AVL Watchdog reported in August that Cawthorn had been rejected by the Naval Academy before the crash.

Cawthorn, now 25, exploited his tale of his crash at age 18 for his successful 2020 House campaign. He’s now the youngest House representative.

He has become one of the most vocal peddlers of the claim that the presidential election was fraudulently stolen from Donald Trump, another lie. Yet in a stunning confession last month, he admitted he has no evidence of election fraud. “I think I would say the election was not fraudulent,” Cawthorn said on CNN.

As for Cawthorn’s version of the car crash, “that statement he made was false,” Ledford told the Post.

Cawthorn has used a wheelchair since the crash. He drives a specially equipped car that has been linked to sexual misconduct accusations. More than 150 former students at his college signed a letter late last year accusing him of “sexually predatory behavior,” which Cawthorn has denied.

BuzzFeed News talked with more than three dozen people who described allegations of sexual misconduct while Cawthorn was at Patrick Henry College. Four women told BuzzFeed that Cawthorn was aggressive, misogynistic or predatory toward them. Cawthorn called them derogatory names in public, asked inappropriate questions about their sex lives, kissed and touched them without their consent, they told reporters. Many of the aggressive encounters occurred during what Cawthorn liked to call “fun drives” in his car, according to BuzzFeed.
Cawthorn did not immediately respond to a request for comment from HuffPost. Neither he nor his spokesperson responded to The Washington Post.

Cawthorn’s communications director, Micah Bock, referred BuzzFeed News to remarks he made at a campaign debate in which Cawthorn said: “I have never done anything sexually inappropriate in my life.”

If Dems won the Senate seat for NC last year, people wouldn't care about Manchin's games and the whole party would be a happy family right now...lulz maybe maybe no.

Just another sexual predator, liar, and grifter joining the ranks of the GOP. The young Republicans being voted into that party are a sign of what it's becoming, and it is anything but good.

I don't get how people think Cunningham wins yet Biden loses.

The Maine Galaxy Brain dipshits who went Biden Collins are the real idiots who cannot get dragged enough.

. And lol their Senator is in the minority anyway, and is treated like **** by her own majority when she's not. They deserve her. If being a Mainer means getting clowned repeatedly by people from Away, she is the Avatar of their dreams.

Anyway, it doesn't matter. It's not the elections, it's our insanely broken as **** institutions that are the real culprit. The Senate is a trash fire.

Maine brained voters voted her in because of her seniority. They knew a new senator wouldn't get any bacon on the table the way Manchin could right now. Collins campaigned on that and won.

Cunningham was also a disappointment in the sense that polling data gave him clear projected leads. Can't count on polls, yet headlines still use them to drive narratives editors wish are true.

I'm sure partisans on the other end agree with your last point...
