I want both the Lakers and the Spurs to lose, but now I hate the Lakers more. So I hope the Sperms win the series and get beat by either the T-Wolves or Kings.

I'm hoping that Sam-I-Am can get a third ring...

I'm rooting for either Minnesota or the Pacers. I want Reggie to win a ring so he could put in Karla's idiotic face.

I don't understand the hatred for the Spurs. They dont' play dirty (OK, maybe Bowen crosses the line), they have two ex-Rockets in Horry and Willis who did a lot of good for us, their star is probably the most respectful player in the top 10 of the league's best, Parker and Ginobilli are great energy players- so I don't get it. Even when they had Robinson, you just can't hate on someone who's a model citizen.

Now as for Barkley and Malone, that's a whole 'nother story.

Now that Horry's left the Lakers, I have absolutely no reason to cheer that team on at all. Here's hoping the Spurs (Horry) or the T-Wolves (Cassell) win it all.

Rockets should learn from Spurs on their defence and consistency.
Laker would be 1-4 vs Rockets if Rockets could have done as Spurs.

And remember how disrespectfuly(sp) the fakers let Horry go. It would be SO nice to see Horry hit a game winning 3 in game 4 to sweep the fakers.

But then again it would also be good if the spurs destroy the fakers in game 4 so we can see kobe cry so more :p

Any other year, SA vs. LA would be a 'who cares?' series for me.

Now that Malone is on the Lakers, that all changes. Next round I'll be rooting for the Spurs to kick the sh** out of 'em.

That's it, though. :D After that I can go back to disliking the Spurs.

Malone must be denied his ring, at all costs. AND be kicked in the balls. I'd settle for the first one alone, but still, both would be grand.:D

Lets bring back some sanity here....

I have always hated and still hate the Spurs and all of their annoying fans. I hate the way Tim Duncan's eyes get all big like Bullwinkle everytime he gets called for a foul as if he believes that he could never be called for a foul. I hate Popovich. He seems like an a**hole. I've always and still hate Sean Elliott and that punk Jack Haley. That evil smiling Bob Hill has to go too. I hate San Antonio as a city also. All they have is the Riverwalk which is way overrated sort of like the Galleria and NASA in Houston. Nothing was sweeter than watching Dream humiliate the little mermaid in the conference finals when the little mermaid won the MVP. I think that was sweeter than the two championships combined.

No way in hell I ever cheer for the Spurs. Even if means, rooting for the Lakers.

Spurs is a classy team and they play game basketball. Timberwolves is still a jump shooting team.

Tony Parker plays much better than SF this year. He had many errors in last year playoffs and Pop benched him sometimes. Now, he is penetrating Mems at will.

Gino is a quick defender and plays with heart.

TP and Gino can bring a fast pace game.

Yao needs to learn from Tim Duncan. Tim is a quiet achiever and also does not mind having team mates to take credit. But in crunch time, he can deliver.

Spurs play consistent and top level game. They peak at the right moment.

Its easy hating the SAN ANTONIO Spurs, just like its easy hating the DALLAS Mavericks, why you ask?? Because we live in HOUSTON!!! Its like when you see a Dallas Cowboy fan at a Texans game...just not right. Rox are our home team so any rivalry they have, especially instate rivalries, its our duty as Rox fans to be their rivals as well. To rival their fans that come around and talk s$!t about our team and how much better their team is....regardless if its true or not :D ok?? I hope you enjoyed your lesson today in home team etiquette...class dismissed

Let's see.......a humble, mild-mannered fundamentally sound classy Duncan or the dirtiest player of the past three decades...

    Why is this even debated?

You know, I was checking out their forum "The Spurs Report" prior to game 4, and most of the dumbasses on there were rooting for the Fakers to win the game and talking trash about the Rockets.

Freaking idiot Spurs fans, you would think they would be rooting for the Rockets and grateful that we played the Lakers tough and softened them up for the Spurs.

Spurs fans are terrible and most know little about basketball....

but having to deal with the world's worst Spurs fan is infinitely preferable to watching that smug thug Malone get a ring.

    exactly....

trust me, i hate the spurs, and to a greater extent spurs' fans. they're r****ded, know little about basketball, and they stink! i live just 45 mins north of SA, so i have to put up with them all the time. however.... karl malone represents all that is evil and wrong in this world. period.

so for one series, and one series only, i'll cheer for the spurs. or at least i won't root against them.
