Rumor of ZNTE -> Lilium getting stronger is my guess. I did not pull the trigger on this last week because of said rumors because Lilium seems like vaporware like Theranos based on my quick internet research. Due to the amount of experts and excess to experts on ZNTE's team, my thinking is that if it is Lilium, they will have scoped it out properly. Btw have you seen you seen Lilium's videos? It can move pretty well in the vertical mode, I think the 2 qn marks I've seen are whether it can flip to horizontal mode in the air (hope you get what i mean, i'm not expert haha), and if vertical take off sucks up too much power.
Maybe they'll figure it out one day but I just don't see it working at scale anytime soon given how much energy is required for vertical thrust and that they are using electric batteries, which are heavy as hell. My optimal scenario is they cater as a novelty to the mega-rich by 2025 but ultimately they aren't doing something better/cheaper than what helicopters currently do.
