Since you provided absolutely no other comment or discussion point, the implication is that you are whining about CNN wanting the money that should go to USA citizens that qualify. If you disagree with the stimulus completely, you did not mention that.

Leaving aside the OP’s desperation to manufacture some sort of controversy it’s actually a decent piece. It’s not an op-Ed so it’s not CNN attack in Biden but a look at how some economist disagree on the effectiveness of the $1,400 checks. Some good points reside in it that they might not have the stimulative effect that people are hoping since they might not be spent right away.
I'll spend mine right away if they would like to send it now. I have my eye on a nice used Dual Sport motorcycle on Craigslist and 1400 cash would get me there. Go Joe. Send me some money. Let me stimulate the local economy by helping my fellow American get rid of his Japanese motorcycle.
In a way the $1400 supports GOP constituents. I think most people will use it to pay on debt: rents, mortgages, car loans medical debt, credit card balances etc. That all goes right back to Corporate interests and keeps them out of bankruptcy.
my neighbors will be the biggest beneficiaries of this as i will use that money to buy an electric drum kit.

I don't see it cheerleading does not drive ratings, negatives do and CNN will look for anything to create a controversy. They will have 2 audiences progressives and Trumpers. They should not be cheerleaders but they also should not be hunting for the "story". Something has to take up the Trump vaccum for sensational stories, will be interesting to see what they will do. Would not be surprised if they become Fox lite, because Trumpers love when the "liberals" start sniping among themselves.
By cheerleaders, I meant that they will be pro Biden but not nearly to the extent that Fox was/is pro Trump.
Yeah the article makes some good points. But when people pay down debts they usually splurge on other things so I think they missed that aspect.
