I may be beating a horse I didn't realize was dead. But, I've noticed a lot of posters assuming that if we got a SF in the lottery, that he may well start -- if he can beat out Langhi. This seems ridiculous to me. Depending on what SFs we have left from last year, the priority will go: S. Anderson W. Williams Euro or Mature College Lotto Pick (Gasol/Battier) Langhi Immature and/or non-lotto SF (Johnson/Morris) Rudy isn't going to want to start rookies when servicable veterans are available. And if he has to start Langhi, you know it's because he's in some trouble -- how do you go from not playing to starter? But at least Langhi has been around the league a year as well as played plenty of college ball, which is more than can be said for most of the prospects in the draft. ------------------ RealGM Gafford Art Artisan Cakes
I do believe that is more than you can say for ALL PROSPECTS IN THE DRAFT. Langhi can do a windmill dunk and shoot 3s, too, plus displays an uncanny ability for throwing the lob pass under the basketball. [This message has been edited by heypartner (edited June 25, 2001).]
A lob pass under the basketball? Never heard of THAT before! Seriously, though, I think Anderson has a better chance at being the back-up shooting guard than starting small forward. I give the nod to Walt Williams (barring any trades for a better starting small forward). ------------------ Founding Father of the Refs Suck Club
