Nothing is happening until 2022 since the revenue has been erased. Wood needs to ball out. Wall, Boogie, and Oladipo need to get healthy. As for me, as much as I hated Harden for leaving, I'm rooting for him in the East. Hell, Harden might even come back after he gets his ring. After all, he's got assets here.
I agree ,we need the most picks possible to rebuild ,I already started scouting and have found 2 prospects with very good potential.
If you can’t build the 2018 Warriors, build the 2004 Pistons. Quantity of quality without top end talent. Fit over fame. Shotgun spread instead of trying to pinpoint with a bullet. We’re off to a good start building that.
I know playoff Harden has been really dragged out to be a worse player than what the reality is but the actuality is i don't have to be frustrated with Harden in the playoffs anymore because he's not on this team but now the issue is... are we going to make it to the playoffs this year or anytime soon.
Absolutely I'm serious. Not only did Harden quit on the team multiple times, he single handedly destroyed the best team in franchise history because he couldn't get along with anyone. He is the sole reason for the CP3 trade that sunk the franchise. If the Rockets had a player with Harden's talent who wasn't a quitter that prioritized partying over the game and couldn't get along with anyone, they likely win at least one championship the last 8 years.
Oh look, another ‘things don’t look great, let’s give up’ thread! Way too soon to be talking about tanking when we have more talent than the bottom feeders and don’t control our own pick next draft.
THIS lebron type player comes once in 10 years youre better off building a team 2015 warriors or last year miami otoh if you have a losing culture and mentality no pick will ever help you.. look at okc... THEY HAD ALL THE PICKS IN THE WORLD AND 3 MVPS last time i checked they didnt win anything
hahaha its no wonder so fitting because even when harden was here many of cf were rooting for the tank
Nah I’m to excited to see Mason Jones play and the players we draft over the next for years haven’t been this excited for every game so far because it’s so unpredictable
Yup. We laughed at things like signing Ennis and Carter Williams. We scratched our heads at things like wasting assets on Knight, Chriss and Shumpert. We cried when Paul was dumped for Westbrook. We doubled down in denial by trading Capela and going all in on our Westbrook mistake. And we could only sigh when Harden forced his way out. The implosion by the front office is complete, and impressive.
Trading Capela ultimately got us CWood so im fine with that. The rest is pretty bad. Especially the obvious one.
Oh I’d take Curry and Dame on this team in a heartbeat ......and you would be amazed how good that team would be
I think you misunderstand what I'm saying. What I'm suggesting is that Harden had the talent, but what he lacked in character and leadership held him and the team back. I'm not saying that the Rockets needed a better player, they just needed that player to be of higher character.
