Is he part of the schedule F EO? If so, cut at will. Biden should remove everyone hired from a political position into civil servant position then issue an EO to remove schedule F type of fed employee.

    https://www.lawfareblog.com/trumps-plan-gut-civil-service

“On Oct. 21, President Trump issued an executive order that, for many federal employees, effectively overturned the civil service system that has existed in the United States since 1883. By creating a new type of federal position, Schedule F, Executive Order 13957 empowers federal agencies to involuntarily move scores of career federal employees into positions for which statutory and constitutional job protections would be eliminated—putting them at risk of being fired at will. Just as perniciously, the executive order allows agency heads to move current political appointees into these newly created Schedule F positions without competition and not based on merit—in essence, creating a new category of political appointee. The creation of Schedule F is nothing more than an attempt to gut the career civil servant class and further marginalize career civil service employees. ”

I'm not sure from the article though it says:
"Positioning a political appointee in a Civil Service job is a complex procedure requiring various approvals to prevent favoritism in the hiring process. With Mr. Ellis, the Office of Personnel Management eventually determined that the general counsel position was exempt from a policy requiring special approval, though those deliberations slowed the process. Mr. Ellis also had to seek a new security clearance."

    So maybe..

This get into some details on the roadblocks and challenges.

Biden team fears rocky transition may have revealed only 'tip of the iceberg'

    https://www.politico.com/news/2021/01/20/biden-staff-takeover-government-460600

Officials recognize some of their priorities will be sidelined by the need to fix bureaucratic messes they aren’t even aware of yet.

Joe Biden’s transition team had no illusions about the chaos they were inheriting from President Donald Trump. They expected a disorganized government and mismanaged agencies, many of them hollowed out and ignored over the past four years.

Hours before they assume office, however, there is a fear among Biden’s team that the roadblocks they encountered during the chaotic transition shielded them from understanding the full scope of the problems at various agencies, and that the state of the executive branch is far worse than they understood — “the tip of the iceberg” as one senior transition aide put it.

I've been hearing analyst say there's a lot of worry within the Biden Admin about what they might find when they open the drawers in the White House.

As a lifelong civil servant, both federal and state, it only takes one or two dip$hittian agency heads to completely destabilize a bureaucracy.

Usually, it's due to either ineptitude or politics. With dip$hit, it was both...

"Reducing the national debt" - All talk
"Eliminating handouts and giveaways" - All Talk
"Making our nation more secure and stronger against threats" - All Talk

So...why are people continuing to say that Republicans are soulless, corrupt, shitbags who can't govern and only care about their self-entitled bacon?
