They went from a playoff team to a bottom tier team. There was still some optimism going into this season, after all. Then BOB lost the team and was fired. So he got to see another full season of poor leadership from the top. But imo, the biggest issue is being lied to his face (assuming Cal told him DW would be part of the GM/coach search). It's one thing to work for an idiot, but when he's a lying idiot, that changes the ball game.

Well the owner of the team straight lied to him for starters. And he has committed himself and the franchise to someone who is widely hated and untrustworthy to a lot of players.

Do we know for sure he was lied to?
And wasn’t there talk or speculation that he wouldn’t sign here long term?

Based on all of the reports, yes. The only thing I can remember was negotiating the number of years of his deal. Texans wanted 5-6 and DW4 wanted 3-4 or something along those lines. Personally I didn’t see it as not wanting to be here long term (because the Texans would have had relatively long term “control” whether it was 4 or 4 years). Thought it was more about ability to get another payday which is more of the norm this days, minus the Mahomes deal.

I thought he it was reported that he didn’t want to sign here long term or at all.
Even still, he signed his contract when there was already reports of “issues”

We were told he would be involved in the decision making process. Then we were told he wasn’t at all and Cal and Eastersnake hopped on a jet and hired the GM while he was on vacation and he learned about it via social media first. So yeah, sounds like a lie to me. But at least Cal sent him a text message a week later. That should make everything right.

We were told a lot of things, including problems before he signed his extension.
    He still signed it.
Don’t sign it and push for a no trade clause and then the next off season request a trade.
Cal don’t be a dipshit and trust a charlatan.

I don’t recall that at all. Only thing I remember was him wanting a 3 or 4 year deal for flexibility on another contract.

Feel free to post if it was something different though, seems like that would be an easy find if there.

If that's true, the Texans look even worse. It means the Texans knew for a year that Watson had concerns that they probably wanted to address and they still managed to bungle things even more and lied to him in the process as well. It seems like it would justify Watson's position even more.

At the end of the day someone needs to record Cal saying something racist and/or sending a lewd image to a female (a la Mets GM). Hopefully that forces Cal to sell the team.

    It's the only way.

LOL We’re not taking any more RBs for our star players. (...or maybe Cal/Jack are dumb enough to do it again)

I agree, but it would also tarnish his golden boy reputation too.

I get that Watson is mad and he feels he's been lied too, but if he won't talk to anyone in the organization like it's being reported then how can things get fixed. And if it's past the point of no return he should just come out and say it.

Not so fast...his name is CHRISTIAN McCaffery and attended “Valor Christian HS”...we just need his take on abortions and he’ll be perfect for this organization!

Remember in 2016 when David Johnson had 373 total touches and one of the greatest RB seasons ever? Remember in 2019 when Christian Mccaffrey had 403 total touches and one of the greatest RB seasons ever?

Remember what happened after those amazing seasons?

Andre Johnson outrights said Easterby is trash and should b fired. This is the man that has been with us for years and the only one in the Texans ring of honor. Guess what the Owner did? double down and said im backing Easterby regardless.

U think the owner is gonna listen to Watson? Texans front office has shown time and time again, that it's their way or u get the boot. I honestly believe that they will get rid of Watson rather than let him tell them how to run the franchise, hence y our franchise is dog sht. too much ego to ever compromise.
