I agree with Dipo here. I saw a lot to be encouraged by last night.

 

I like his attitude even though he really wanted to be in Miami.

 

Oladipo isn't even half the player that Harden is. More empty talk.

To be fair, we're 4-8, so "better days" doesn't necessarily mean playoffs or even .500. It could be just a good draft spot.

 

His wife needs to kick him out a second time for making that.

 

He should be traded. If Stone has a brain he's working on something now because Oladipo isn't hanging around here for less than the max, and he's not a max guy. You trade while his value is high and the time is this year. I wouldn't max him and I wouldn't let him walk for nothing.

 

That depends upon whether consistent effort matter, or if we are talking about defense.

Harden is a great scorer - and can be a good defender when he feels like it.

I think you are using the word superstar too lightly. Wall was never a top 10 player in the league. Victor was never top 10 either or really approaching it. At their peaks both are all star players but not superstars. If they return to their peaks and Wood is playing like an all star they could possibly be top 4 next year. But I still don't see them being better than the Lakers, Clippers, and Nuggets. Warriors will have Klay back so they are likely better. Then you have the Suns, Mavs, and Blazers who all have better stars. The Rockets best shot is to move on from Victor and Wall this off-season and start rebuilding with picks and guys under 25.

 

He looked awful at first and totally out of sync with the team, especially with Wood and still scored 32 points and made things happen. I’m excited.

 

He needs to be at least the level of player Harden is if "better times are ahead." Except he's not. Come talk to me again when we barely make the 8th seed (if even that) after several years of being a playoff contender and explain how "better times are ahead."
