The relationship references towards a basketball player and non-intimate situation is... weird.

Anybody on here drawing comparisons to a marriage, a long term relationship, an abusive ex, or anything in between is a dumbass. This is sports. If James Harden wants to come back later, and the Rockets are in a position where they want him back, he will be back. He obviously loves the city, and does feel a level of gratitude and remorse for not ever bringing us a title. I'm sure if there's an opportunity for him to do so down the line, he'd jump at it.

When Parsons first left I had a strong feeling that he would someday return. Glad I was wrong.

Couldn’t disagree more. It’s called self-respect my dude. Yeah, it’s a sport. But disrespect is disrespect. Partying the way he did, being unprofessional, disrespecting Silas by not even giving him a chance, calling his teammates not good enough, and straight up disrespecting fans with his garbage effort in the actual games. Fans have every right to not want him back, and use whatever comparisons they want to illustrate the reason why.

Let’s not forget, there were fans who paid money to see those garbage performances in-person. Fans who paid for league pass to watch those garbage performances. Hell, I almost paid flight+hotel money to see them in person. It’s a slap in the face to everyone the way he handled it.

Extremely rare scenario in basketball, maybe the only one of its kind. Hardly a compelling example. Durant isn't rushing back to OKC. Davis isn't rushing back to New Orleans. NBA guys need attention and shoe deals and to make millions with their millions. They're out to create ego empires, not to be loved by a random city.
