I'll be the first to say what an interesting season. From the hiring of Van Gundy to the aquisition of JJ, the trials of Eddie, the exploits of Cynthia, the suspension of Mo, the play of Steve (good and bad), the journey of Yao, the arrest of Calvin, buzzer beaters, close games, blowouts, and the playoffs. I hope it's not over but if it is...thanks for the ride. GO ROCKETS FOREVER
it has been a interesting season, but i think there were more bads this year then goods. the losing of griffin was bad, ad the hostality on this board was even worse. But the rest of the season was entertaining. it is great to be a rockets fan (lets hope the season isn't over) go Rockets
Aww come on AnotherBrother your breakin my heart w/ this thread, i hope its not the end just yet... BUT its been a kick ass season
What's been interesting has been the growing pains and growth, the heart shown over these Laker games, and the hope offered for a beautiful tomorrow. BTW - tomorrow will be beautiful as the Good Guys 'live' to play another day!
More negative towards the whole thing since we are facing elimination. we've had a damn good run at it though, missed a few opportunities, but we played with alot of heart and if tonight is our night to go down, it won't be in vain. tonight's game obviously is a must win or not play another single playoff game. However, I just don't know. I think the pressure of elimination either makes your team stronger when the game is on the line or weak and crumble under pressure. I guess I'll just reserve comment until tonight.
If this is Stevie Franchise's last game as a rocket. All I can say is thanks for the optimism you brought, the memories, and the professionalism with which you conducted business. I sure wish you fit into our system, but unfortunately i understand that you dont... Good luck in the future, i'll always root for you...you are a class act and im glad that you were a houston rocket.
No matter what happens tonight I think we had a good run and I am proud to be a Rockets fan. All I wanted/expected from this season of ups and downs and new coaches and uniforms and stadiums is for our team to make it to the playoffs and it happened. Now all I want is for the Lakers to be eliminated
If the rockets let Stevie go, then the Rockets management will be making a huge mistake. Even if it for T-mac, who maybe can only play 45-50 games without an injury prone player like T-mac, T-mac has bad back problems. I would rather have Stevie play an entire season and post season, who night-in-night-out puts his entire body out on the floor, than T-mac playin some of the re season and some post season.
Overall, I think this is a good season. We finally made it to playoff after the long 5 year waiting. There were disappointments, but this is the business only one team's fans get to laugh in the end. So we all have to know how to live with that, otherwise you are bound to get cancer of some sort. Props to all Rox players. The pieces might not fit right, nonetherless they played their hearts out, made the sacarifice.
