He's a solid choice but I'd roll with Kris Richard

EB is the man if he has the leadership skills -- I keep hearing great things and the Chiefs offense is special. Deshaun would be a good fit with EB ... IMHO.

Yes it was reported that he encouraged Cal to hire Casserio if that’s what he felt was right despite the search committee recommending others.

Think this depends but should note that Cal came and not only defended Easterby, but double downed and said he’s not going to fire him. No reason not to say the same about Watson if that is indeed the case.

Why is he not the answer? I don’t know anything about him beyond his playing days.

I don’t even know what “partial roster control” even means.

Most likely he wants to pick the offensive guys.

Ok was hoping it was a bit more concrete advise than "do what you want" as that is the one thing that Cal has seemed to do since day one. But I'll take it, whatever gets the job done.

Of course nobody knows the ins and outs and cant predict how hell do as a HC but the number of interviews he has done and the fact that nobody has hired him yet, raises a major flag.

The Rooney rule is still in effect, no? If so, it makes sense a lot of teams would interview him without giving him the job. My concern is that the problem we have on offense is talent, not coaching, so I’d really rather see a defensive minded coach like Saleh who is off the board now.

Bieniemy, has done some truly pedestrian things this season with an offense in Kansas City that has the most weapons in the history of the game. I am concerned that this is a total cave to Watson on the part of McNair... 12 other teams considered Bieniemy for HC over the past 3 years and they all passed.

I hope it all works out for the best, but these are some serious red flags.

    Just hire EB.

The team is going to be bad for 2 seasons anyway. If it placates Watson all the better.
