It's perfectly normal for an employee to want to choose where to work and who to work for. You should go back to being silent bob, his silence is much informed.

Root for the Browns to comeback against the Chiefs (Mahomes is out now). You want to be able to interview EB as soon as possible. It may take EB to make Watson semi-happy.

It bears repeating that McNair will never hire a head coach with Bieniemy's historical rap sheet. Assaulting a woman? Come on.

The Texans are a church with a football department.

Watson seems to be pretty clearly the smartest person involved with the franchise at this point. He see organizations for what they are, doesn't seem to be fooled by charlatans, and understands leverage and power.

1993...when in college. Over 27 years ago. Never went to court...it seems. Is he a choir boy? NO. Yes, there other incidents. All seem to be tied to Colorado were he left 19 years ago. Urban Meyers cover up of Aaron Hernandez Florida doesn't even get brought up. It seems black coaches have their pasts scrutinized more that white ones.

It’s terrible, but I guess I’ve finally accepted he will get out. I don’t blame him at all. I hope this wakes up our management/cal.

it sucks sooooooo bad. **** cal and easterby. I’m still rooting for us, but god i hate our franchise.

Let’s see how those Watson haters that think Carr is better than him feel when we’re back to having crap qbs

If all this crap somehow results in them having to trade Watson... the damage should/would be catastrophic. There has never been a situation like this in the history of football. Never.

The Texans would be lower than any other franchise in any other sport. You don’t **** with franchise QB’s... ever.

So long as Cal is here and Easterbunny is in his ear there’s no hope. I know some of you are jumping for joy cause it’s looking like a Deshaun trade is incoming. Cool, we rebuild, get some good players in, and have Easterbunny and Cal run them off too. There’s no point in getting excited or happy, the next star we get will be put off by Easterbunny and Cal and we will start the cycle over. Y’all have fun watching this dumpster fire continue to burn brightly. I’m done

Watson has no leverage. IF he wants to play football, it will be here in Houston. Sit out, you don't get paid. You try to work to re-build the relationship, but you play hardball.

Granted, McNair and Easterby suck. But you play hardball.

I am overwhelmed with all the reporting and information coming out about the Watson saga from Houston reporter and Texans insider John McClain. Calm down John your going to end up getting carpal tunnel.

He could just go the Harden route, and actively sabotage the team on the field in addition to him already doing so off the field. It worked for Harden and no doubt Watson looks up to him.

About character. Watson is not that type of person. If he does, you sit him. Sometimes, you have to take a stand.

Yet another thing you simply don't remotely understand. If he demands a trade, he'll get traded. He can make life a living hell for the organization if he wants by openly talking about his criticisms, telling coaches not to come here, etc. It's the same as every disgruntled player in every sport - just look at Harden as a recent example that people said had no leverage. He ended up going to exactly the team he wanted to go to. Why/how? Because he made life miserable for the coaches and other players as long as he stayed. In the Texans' case, it appear the other players may support him in that course of action.

This front office/owner will unlikely play hardball. It’s not very Christian to hold out. They want men of good moral fiber that will do what they’re told.

You really should be worried about that. Their moral and fundamental views will cloud their judgement. It’s already happened. They have no real business sense. There’s no former MBA’s or consultants running the show. Casserio will have to give in to whatever the owner wants and the owner has pastor Jack telling him what God would want.

Something that I feel needs to be mentioned whenever athletes of Deshaun’s caliber hold out. Well off players like Deshaun have multiple sources of income. Football at this time might be his highest source, but it’s not his only. Fines won’t make a player with Deshaun’s profile come running back

If the Texans let this go and they end up trading Watson, the player that is universally liked around the league, you can kiss any free agent signings that are worth something goodbye. Likely for the next 10 years at least.

Hope Caserio can draft well. Historically New England never did.
