KD had two opportunities to just... join the Rockets. That's what makes me mad.

Yeah... that annoys me too... thats why i dont think harden is as great a leader as he thinks he is. He lost many all stars with him as the “leader”

I’m still confused about one detail of the trade.
Why did Brooklyn give up Jarrett Allen if Houston didn’t want him? Houston ended up taking a very late first rounder, doubt its was contingent on that; just counter with 2nd rounders.
I saw one explanation saying because Cleveland “ate” Taurean Prince’s contract but that doesn’t sound right and also if it was about taking back contracts then Brooklyn could have excluded Prince and used Dinwiddie’s instead, an expiring.

I always wish we could see how negotiations went down.

Well, whenever a 3rd Team is involved in a blockbuster, it is almost always to help grease the deal.

I mean, if you don't think the reason was to get another 2022 FRP and larger TPE, then no reason to be confused. You're just in disagreement with Stone.

And absolutely, Prince is required in this trade, and Stone slid him to CLE to generate a larger TPE.

not sure what this point is. CLE would have eaten that, too. If you're saying we'd take Dinwiddie and keep Allen, then fine, but why confusion. That's just disagreement in the value of FRP and a $15m TPE (at the time) over Allen and shedding $12m salary next year.

btw: you can also shed salary next year by renouncing the TPE (at any time).

Doesn’t everyone still think the Lakers are the best team and the projections/betting lines have them as the odds on favorites to win?

I would be surprised if anyone other than LAL won the title this year if health isn’t an issue.

Interesting comment about the using the trade exception by March. Definitely doesn’t sound like a team that wants to tank.

Sorry if this has been mentioned 17 times already, but I think it's smart and completely non-binding for Stone to say they plan to use the trade exception.

If you admit you're going to eat it and save money, your phone won't ring -- amiright? Maybe I'm being too simple.
But sure, the Rox will take a great offer if one arrives before the March deadline. I still am not sure they will be that aggressive, but maybe it will depend on their record at that point.

By players he means KD and no one else. More stuff to play in the Houston locker room from Mark Henry.
