...the gentleman's name is Matthew Cooke. ...he's an actor, filmmaker, and social activist. He's pretty well-known for commentaries like this. ...and on top of all that... ...his every word in this commentary is right.

He made that video to receive e-credit from democrats, not to actually change any republicans' minds. If the latter were his goal he would have used different terms. Immediately declaring Trump as their Tribal Warlord, for example, would bring up their defenses and shut down any prospect of a meaningful discussion. I shut it off just a minute or so into it because I hate these masturbatory videos. They help no one and only further entrench people into what they believed before. SNL in fact recently did a skit that was similar to this video with Beck Bennett playing the role of woke "actor"/"activist":
I admit that SNL skit was the first thing I thought of when I saw that. Anyway it's depressing that it's taken this much to wake up Republicans and judging from opinion polls not all that many are woken up.
Exactly. The video is just another smack down. It is based in fact unlike Trump smack down but it's just a smack down. he vast majority of Republicans aren't changing. This is an opportunity to reach out to the truly independent voter. Any real attempt to gain voters has to begin there. Its a not a large group of people but.That's where real opportunity lies. The other group to reach is the apathetic voters. Trump increased his total by 12MM and lost. If Democrats turnout Democrats win. Period
Fail if it’s targeted at the right. Comes off as pandering to millennials and liberals. Too many big words and concepts for the GOP base. Also needs to be slowed down 25% to emulate a deeper voice.
