I miss both of them lol. I wonder how much I will miss Gordon when he is gone. LOL if someone told you out of James Harden, Trevor Ariza, Eric Gordon, PJ Tucker, Clint Capela, Robert Covington and Russel Westbrook that Eric Gordon would be the one was here last, would you believe it?
Me too. PJ is probably gone soon. Enjoyed those guys' years with the Rockets (with the exception of WB of course).
It's not all about ppg, true. Simmons does the little things I agree. But if you think 12 ppg is acceptable for a James Harden replacement then I don't know what to tell you. That's not franchise player numbers by any stretch. The object of the game is still to put the ball in the hoop contrary to whatever advanced metric you can pull out your ass. Now if a player is coming off the bench or in a limited role then THAT'S when you might want to use advanced metrics to quantify what said player COULD turn into. Similarly to how we evaluated Harden when he was with OKC, but Simmons is the #2 guy already. I notice with some guys on this site and especially with you, that whenever you can't defend a comment from someone on this board then the default go to is advanced analytics. And that's exactly what you are doing now with this Ben Simmons narrative. You hide behind advanced stats like it's the end all be all to cover up for your lack of basketball knowledge.
I do t want Simmons bro. I think he could net is better assets than what we got from the Nets. It s not a good return. Advanced stats are for all players mot just bench players . And I already said I watch the Sixers. I’ve seen Ben on more than one occasion. I just back up what I see with stats. He’s an all NBA player. He’s worth his contract. We could flip him. Those Nets picks could be really bad and we will be screwed if that happens.
Not backing up your crappy takes. That’s predictable of you. And I didn’t start being disrespectful you did.
Even Philly fans think he's basically worthless as an asset, because they see him not being able to score on a nightly basis. Fans usually overrate players on their own team extremely, like that time everyone around here thought that Ryan Anderson, Eric Gordon and a "promising" Sam Dekker would be enough to net Anthony freaking Davis. 12 PPG won't net you anything. There's no way in freaking hell that Simmons nets you as many picks and swaps as the brooklyn package did. I'm 100% positive, if there was a way to get MPJ in a package for harden with some decent picks, we would've taken it. Not for simmons tho. We'd be stuck with Simmons, who wouldn't want to be here, would be exposed here, and with little to no draft compensation as we know that Morey initially didn't even want to attach any picks to this deal. Not even willing to include Maxey. You're just looking for more reasons to be upset at Tilman because u like to shift blame from Harden to Tilman for everything that went wrong within the rockets organization. Actually, hatred for Tilman is something that every HOF around here has in common (not the only ones, tho), because it is easy to make him the scapegoat.
Everything I back up is followed up by deflecting, excuses and turning Harden into the victim in every situation. It’s quite clear you and a few other posters have a freaky obsession with Harden. Here’s a thought, you might find more of your kind on a Nets forum. Just tone it down with the Harden is better than Durant **** when you’re there. Lmao.
People are saying that about him because he's not playing as well right now. It's the beginning of the season. There are a lot of games to be played and he's still the second best player on the roster. 12 PPG isnt all that matters. Those picks and pick swaps all low first rounders. And they have the potential to be ALL LOW FIRST ROUNDERS. With Simmons even 1o or two high lottery picks are worth it. And with Maxey and other picks that's even better. This is a bad return for Harden. You are making a bad bet here. Its not about me hating Tillman. It's about Tillman/Stone making bad deals for the Rockets. I did not like this deal. Even now this franchise has no direction whatsoever. We have guys in their mid twenties who will likely be traded after 2 years because we wont pay them. We will be not making the playoffs for awhile. And if we do...its a bad idea because we should be tanking. Wall and Woods arent good enough to make the playoffs in the west.
Come on man. Are we going to go off the 4200 3s and 21k FGA attempts over his entire career up to this season or we going to just use the 50 or so 3s and 100 or so FGA attempts through 12 games of this year to judge his shooting ability?
You said all that already bro. I get where you are coming from. I don't agree but I get it. Let's make it interesting shall we. Let's both put our money where our mouths are. I'll bet you $100 tip jar that Simmons won't make the all-star team this year averaging UNDER 14 ppg this season. If Simmons averages over 14 ppg by all-star break that voids the bet. If Simmons has a significant injury that will void the bet. Built in safety nets for both of us. Do we have a deal?
LOL please, you took two playoff games and said that Harden was "carried" by Cp3 a completely asinine statement that isnt backed up facts. I didnt deflect, Cp3 was great, by Harden was clearly our best player in the playoffs. LOL Im in NBA dish fool. Im not in the GARM talking about this. Here's a though try backing up your statements and being a little more polite.
