Wood, Jones and Mac seem the real deal. Offensively, everyone else was terrible though. Not going to take 2 from Pop with 22 TO's. Still, splitting with SA with all that's going on at home, a good series for us.
Is it just me or is it weird (and whiny as hell) to see fans nitpicking a game where the team only had 8 players available? Half of tonight's rotation included 2 undrafted rookies, a second round pick rookie, and a guy who just rolled up to the Rockets a couple of hours ago. A group of mostly middle/end-of-the-bench guys went on the road an put up two very competitive games despite the recent circus around the team. Wood continues to ascend to All-Star caliber and we saw some surprising potential in other guys. Sure this game counts as a loss, but I'm not particularly mad about it at all. But maybe that's just me.
Lol, 1 game without John Wall, Oladipo, Gordon, etc, 1 game where they barely met the minimum of 8 players and Had to play a bunch of rookies, is not tanking. Calm down and wait like 20 more games. Christian Wood was good, but he needed a playmaker like John Wall or an extra shooter like Oladipo to back him up tonight. There's no tanking here, we got enough 1st round picks from other teams.
One-game overreactions: Kurucs sucks. Tate needs to develop something offensively beyond barreling into people. Martin has to develop a shot.
I am concerned about John Wall's availability so far. I wonder if he's going to have to have his load managed. It's easy to forget given how well he's played that this is the first time he's played in three years, and that his knee injury was pretty significant. Cousins is only playing 15 mins per game, but Wall goes 30+ mins per game when available and back to back absences for knee soreness might be nothing but it also might be something.
this was a fun and encouraging game! I like this more then wins with the bearded guy because even in the wins I just knew the fat guy gonna let us down the next game
I'm not mad at the guys who played. I'm mad that we ended up with such a crappy roster that we have to play a game with 8 undrafted guys.
So just to clarify. You like losing by double digits over winning a game....... My god this is the best take I’ve seen yet.
exactly. He couldn’t shoot the 3 like that in his early career. Tate has that dog in him you get from Tuck. He learns to shoot, at minimum, the corner three and you have the better player. Tate attacks the rim.
You had to be a real fan to sit through this one. I watched most of it with the occasional commercial switch to the foosball game. Great job Great effort? Missed free throws and a lot of TOs and though Jones had points it felt everyone was lost on offense. Best cheesy line of the day goes to Matt Bullard: "Mason Jars a three" Ha! I'm easily entertained.
