Not only that it’s reached the point of no return because of Watson comes out and says he’s happy in Houston or something along those lines...he will look like a sellout or that he bent the knee. Smh

As impossible as it may seem I think Cal is about to enter Bud Adams hatred territory. Hell he might even shoot past John Stockton hatred territory.

There’s 7 months till the season starts and they haven’t hired a coach yet. It’s not past the point of no return... but if Cal is going to keep putting his foot in his mouth and going out of his way to accommodate Easterby, then there won’t be any point of any of this...

Only person who MIGHT be able to save this mess is Janice McNair. She needs to send Cal to his ******* room, take over the team, fire easterby, let Deshaun know she’s calling the shots and let Caserio do his thing while letting Deshaun basically pick the coach. Only way I can see things get better. Cals ineptitude is disgusting

How hilarious would it be for the Texans to go 15 years waiting for a QB of Deshaun Watson's caliber, for him to want out because of how poorly run this franchise is.

No way either the Texans or Watson can take 7 more months of this.

    Florio:

Tension is very real. It was known that Deshaun Watson had recommended the Texans interview Eric Bieniemy. That request was initially ignored. I’m told Watson also recommended they interview Robert Saleh, who since been hired by the Jets. That was also ignored. He has not yet asked for a trade but it’s moving in that direction. He hasn’t done it because he knows once he says those words, he’s past the point of no return.

I appreciate the maturity he's showing in this.

In doing all this, all he wants is to change the shitty culture that has, and apparently always will be, the Houston Texans.

I think it dies down significantly once they hire a coach that Watson can get behind. If they ignore him again, they’re just digging their own grave.

Florio has been click baiting a ton with this whole ordeal. But this was the most level headed post.

Can we petition to change the team name to Cal Texans? I don’t want Houston associated at all with this clown show going on at Kirby. Every passing day is another day that Cal’s grave gets deeper. Either sell the team, relocate this pathetic organization, or get the name Houston out your mouth. Cal has done nothing in his life to earn the right to manage Houston’s one and only professional football team. If DW4 isn’t under center by game 1 next season the NRG stadium—built by taxpayer money—better be empty as hell. Cal deserves absolutely 0 support by “fans” until he proves to us why he is a capable leader.

Didn’t he say initially that he requested a trade?

It was click-bait. They said he “could” request a trade. they said “Miami would make sense... if Deshaun ever requested a trade” (and that got confabulated into “Deshaun demands a trade to Miami”).

Now they’re speculating that the situation is not salvageable... unless this, this, and this may happen... but it still may not be enough.

I know there’s a giant portion of fans who eat this **** up so that’s why it won’t stop...

My prediction in all of this, is that John McClain copy and pastes his way into a long winded article absolutely guaranteeing 100% that Deshuan will not be traded no matter what happens. And then the very next day he retweets someone else's post that Deshaun has been traded.

He should ask for a trade and it has nothing to do with the new GM hire, the next coach, or even Easterby still being around.

3 years.... he will have to wait 3 years to even have a shot at competing for a championship, and that is IF the Texans draft well, do a good job in free agency, and have a great coaching staff that gets the most out of the players. He will be 28 before he sees the playoffs again.
