So wait, can oladipo be traded again by the deadline if he suits up for us? I thought it was a period of like 3 months or more that you can’t trade someone again
I'm glad you're keeping notes. I'll keep being "woke," the future is now and you are clearly stuck in the past. Kind of strange that you know my posts enough to think I'm a broken record, you don't really ring a bell.
I believe March 4th was the date I remember being thrown out as the day we could officially trade Oladipo.
I’m still confused. move been told here that the Hou-Nets deal is done. yet Twitter says it’s not yet. which is it?
It would appear to be official pending physicals. Kurucs and Exum have both posted about Houston. We know that Harden, Allen and Prince have all passed their physicals. Clearly LeVert is the hang up. Does Houston give him a physical first and then send him to Indiana, or did he go directly to Indy for the physical?
The teams can agree to waive physicals if they want. Sometimes the receiving team will try to grind the trading team for a little extra if the player fails (or more likely, is being an ass about taking) the physical. The Robert Horry/Sean Elliott trade was cancelled because the physical showed a kidney condition that would ultimately lead to Elliott getting a transplant. Horry ended up staying and winning rings in Houston, while Detroit traded Elliott back to San Antonio, who waived the physical, and Elliott had a couple of great seasons there and also won a ring.
I just wish the powers that be would get off their collective a$$es and get the trade done. What are they waiting for? Games are being played by shorted handed teams that were already shorthanded.
They are incorrect. The deal is "done" but just like when you a buy a house and your purchase price is accepted, you go through escrow where conditions have to be met. A condition on almost every single trade in sports is passing a physical. The Cavs reporter says the physicals aren't all done yet. LeVert clearly hasn't passed or maybe taken the physical. Maybe Houston gave him a physical and passed him but wanted Indy to look before they finalized the deal?
It would be silly for the Rockets to waive the Levert physical. He is a key part of the trade to get their coveted target *shutters* Victor Oladipo. Broken Levert means no Oladipo, which would mean the rockets would be dumb to not rescind the trade.
but he is very injury prone...something could come up in the physical even if he’s out there on the court ballin
