Have anyone heard of another asian in the NBA He is gonna be in the 2004 Draft late first round. Ha Seung-Ji from Yonsei, South Korean, high school senior 7-3 308 lbs Center People said according to the X-Ray, he is still growing.. damn... I say Yao Ming will kick his ass
man, just because he's asian, does not mean he's going to be another yao ming. this kid is raw and is still new to basketball.
Does he have talents? There have been many giants who tried their hands on basketball. Only a handful turned out to be skillful.
probably not. he's huge news in korea, all my korean friends know about him already. what i think is a funny phenomenon is that every one in a while, maybe two months, someone finds out about ha seung jin for the first time and starts a thread. it's the same thing with Malick Badiane... speaking of which we're due for one of those very soon.
ive seen video of him at my korean church. he was playing against inferior compeition, but his size is legit. he moves fairly well for his size, and he is naturally filled out. his game needs alot of work. against yao in the asian games last year he didnt perform well in limited minutes that were caused by foul trouble. hes as good as any other big man prospect in terms of potential.
I have seen him playing numerous times. I have seen him playing against other legit centers and power forwards around the world. He stinks.. he is slow.. he dont have good touch.. he got no moves.. he cant shoot.. cant block ... he is just not a baller
who? I've never heard of him I had heard about Yao before he became a Rocket because they had an article about him in ESPN magazine
his stock has been dropping big in nbadraft.net, he was at one point a top 5 pick, after the asian games, he dropped to the late 20's and now he's the top of the second round. wtf? i thought he was training at UCLA all year, when do we get to see this kid show off? and also, how does he only average 10 boards in highschool, being 7'3? in other news, i read that yi jianlian is dominating in the international competition, of course that has little to do with this thread.
Look!!! Yao Ming has proven that China Basketball is very soft compared to U.S. Basketball. If this kid did'nt grow up in Brooklyn or somewhere in the hood, then he will get used just like Yao Ming! If you don't score like a monster in the paint as a big man, you will not make it in the NBA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get some African American agressiveness China Boys!!!!!!!!
http://bbs2.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=51111 I live in Korea and have asked all my friends about him. Not many of them know much about him and some say he is not that good. He only played Uni ball and that does not get much if any TV time here. I have seen some things on him latley in the paper and on TV. I can't read or speak Korean so I have no idea what they are saying. Alot about him is still a mystery, so until he starts working out for teams and media we will have not know how much he has improved in the last year that he has been training in LA.
