I just wanted to get some comments on how ya'll felt about Vince deciding to attend his graduation. I commend him for doing it personally. When I received my degree a year ago it was one of the most memorable days of my life. Anyway, he'll have enough time to get back to Philly and play. I feel Vince sent a really good message with this move to the youth of America that education is very important. ------------------ [This message has been edited by pooh222 (edited May 19, 2001).]
Graduating signifies that education is important. Walking is an add-on. ------------------ women love me, fish fear me.
He's already signified that education is important by getting his degree. Tommorrow, he's gonna play the most important game of his young career, he should probably be in Philly with the rest of his team. ------------------ Charles Barkely on the Raptors defeating the Knicks in Round 1 :"I think it was the Lord. The Lord was with the Raptors. You know the Knicks like to talk so much about religion, but I think the Lord was a Raptor fan."
I have a feeling Vince is going to have a great game tommorow. I'll admit, I was disappointed when I first heard the news because I'm a big Vince fan and I want to see him play well. But the decision to attend his graduation, to me kind of has a symbolic meaning. He's a big role model to kids around the country and for him to decide to attend his graduation on the day of a very big game, the biggest of his career, really shows something. ------------------

As attatched as UNC is to its basketball team, VC could have asked them to re-schedule, and they might have. ------------------ Never Underestimate the Heart of a Champion
