I couldnt sleep all night just thinking about the Rockets La game in houston. So I woke up around 11 and witnessed the Thrashing of the Celtics. Anyways so i was scheduled to go to work that day at 5pm and by that time the Rockets game was still going on. The rockets were trailing 81-79 at the time and then Francis makes the two but misses his next attempt and JJ airballs. OT I was pissed cuz it was 5:15 i had to go to work and OT was about to Start.

So yea angry people at work cuz i was late but hey its the playoffs it comes to houston once every 5yrs. Just about all the Managers and some employees were watching the game upstairs in the breakroom. While i was busy checkin customers out at the grocery store. What pissed me off was that the customers were like "The rockets are playin??" "Did they win?" whats the score?" In my mind i was like Yes you stupid fat ass the rockets are playing, instead of buying food for your fat ass why dont you go home and watch the game and do me a favor so i can go watch the game too!!!

The manager kept coming downstairs and kept telling me the score 87-83; 87-86 and then THEY LOST!! Anyways im very superstitious if i would of stayed home and watched how the OT turned out the Rockets would of won. But no i was busy checkin some fat people at the store.

    Funny post man.

I went to both games this past weeken and man it was ELECTRIC especially when the Rockets came back in the 4th quarter to force OT!!!! You can tell the players fed off the crowd and chants of Defense and Beat LA and KOBE SUX!!! The thin I hated was the PHONY Fakers fans. I had a group sitting in front of me in game 3. They seemed to be routing for the Fakers b/c everytime I dissed Kobe and Malone and stinky fisher, they seemed irritated. There was kid with them who had a Kobe Jersey on. The next game (4), they were there again but this time, the kid was wearing a Steve jersey. I couldn't believe it. The entire game the adults were routing for the Fakers and then as soon as the Rockets came back and seemed to be etching a W, they started standing and clapping for the Rockets. I hate seing phony fans like that and seems like most of the Fakers fans are just on the bandwagon. They wouldn't go for Lakers if they weren't the team they are now. Peace.

It was kind of weird watching those rocket home games on TV. You could actually hear how loud the crowd was. You could tell the crowd was into the game. It was great and I wish I was there.

I am just now getting my voice back. Yesterday I had to speak in whispers. I never attended any other playoff games so this was a very special event. Man, it was electric in the TC.:D

The place blew up when Karla undercut Boki...I thought some fans were gonna charge the court.

I've been to alot of sporting events (Superbowls, Bowl Games, Final Fours, NBA Playoff Games, etc), but I've never heard a croud erupt louder than when Boki packed Karla's shot...it was electric.

The one thing that Rocks fans did that was a little distasteful was chant KOBE SUCKS when Kobaby was on the ground after getting slapped in the face by SF3.

If you had been at the games in LA and dealt with threats of physical intimidation outside by drunk fans for wearing Rockets gear, or heard the ugly stuff they yelled at Steve and Yao you wouldn't feel so bad. If they were uglier, drunker fans I'd swear I was in Dallas :)

Personally I think the Lakers inherited many of the displaced Raiders fans in the 90's that are always in need of an excuse to turn over cars and burn things after Al Davis took the team back to Oakland.

Of course...it still wasn's as ugly as watching Mexico/USA in a soccer match in LA. No one threw beer or spat half-eaten hot dogs on my girlfriend or anything...

    but still.

same thing happened to me, but it was worse. I had to go to work at 3:30PM, tkaes me 15 minutes to drive to work, but I was so worked up over the game, I left the house about 3:22PM. When I got there, it was raining, an ugly day out there, and I was PISSED because it was SO busy in the photolab (it just boggles my mind at why people would be getting pictures DEVELOPED on a Sunday, at 4 in the evening, when there is a playoff game on TV, AND the roads are dangerously wet) and I was on and off the phone iwth my mom, and she was keeping me updated. The bad thing was, after all that crap, we ended up losing! A bad day for me, but I was just dissapointed, but a proud Rocket fan.

When i left Live after the game on Saturday when we were packed i was walking a couple of my friends to their car. And everyone was like oh.... were the rockets playing tonight?

I was like No they lost. And they acted as if they cared and stuff like that or they were a fan. If you were a fan you would have brought your happy as somewhere and watched the game instead of getting all pretty for the club.

I wasn't aware we played on Saturday. We lost that one too? I guess there's always next year.

Also, I forgot to mention that William Hung performed at halftime...it was pretty funny...he opened with 'She Bangs', and encored with 'ROCKETMAN'...it was, well...horrendous.

Yeah, Hung got booed a little bit on Rocketman - but the crowd came around a bit when he got to the "I'm a Rocket Fan" part. Actually, I couldn't tell what words he was singing - now that's not a good sign. :(
