Gordon and Wall stay, imo, bc they are negative value contracts and don’t lead to getting an asset. Agreed on all the rest though.

Not trolling. The point of this deal isn’t to win games in the next couple years. Any win these next couple years is counterproductive to the long term goal....

I think you could probably get a late first from the right contender for PJ at the deadline. Philly has all their picks and DM loves him and hates late first draft picks. I could see DM trading a 21 first for him as an example.

I can't wait until he demands a trade.

    #FreeWood

Rafael Stone : ANY TIME YOU HAVE CHRISTIAN WOOD YOU HAVE A CHANCE AT A CHAMPIONSHIP

Stephen Silas : I'M HERE TO COACH CHRISTIAN WOOD, I'M NOT A TANKING COACH.

Tilman : YOU KNOW AT MY REST RAUNTS I SOMETIMES STEAL THE TOILET PAPER, IT SAVES HUNDREDS A YEAR. DID YOU KNOW MY SUITS ARE MADE IN LABOR CAMPS ? I'M SO THRIFTY.

I think Wood is the only player the Rockets has no reason to trade, although, if they go into a full three years rebuild, i think they should also consider trading him if they get a great offer, cause by the time we would maybe have an interesting young core, he'll be 28, unrestricted free agent and likely asking for a max (whether he'll deserve it or not).

The whole point of rebuilding is to get players like Wood. Why trade him lmao

How? We don't own our picks. Create a culture of winning while building. Don't be the Kings.

Get Wood a summer with Hakeem and a trainer to build his body-mainly his core. 25 is pretty late to come onto the scene as anything more than a high level starter. Im not sure we've ever seen a legit superstar develop this late. There's guys who didn't come into the NBA until late but were dominant where they were, like Sabonis. Theres military service but dominant future HOF potential like Admiral. Theres Rodman who was a specialist. Im not sure theres anyone quite like Wood. Wood is in rare company. A guy cut over and over again and explodes into superstardom at 25/26? Never happened before but the fact that its not far fetched to imagine as reality is why you don't trade him and put all your focus on him as if he is our fresh #1 pick we have to develop. #1 overall...not Bill Worrell "#1 pick"

I don't know about you but I like to watch basketball games and if the Rockets are trying to be one of the worst teams in the league then that would be counterproductive to my goal.

You can find great players in the late lotto. You can find guys like Wood and Tate. You can sign other top free agents. No need to tank.
