Where is this sentiment coming from that Harden trashed his teammates? This is just the honest truth. This team isnt built to do anything. They dont have the talent or chemistry. Where is he wrong?

Wall and cousins sound like compulsive liars when they get called out for lying. You want to win but you dont care if hardens on the team? Now youre mad when he says you arent good enough to contend? How the **** did you think you were going to contend without harden in the first place? Bullshit ass logic

 

Making yourself part of the criticism IS being a leader. This is why whenever you hear players on bad teams talk about how bad they are they usually say "We."

"We suck. We need to get better. We have this to do..."

 

Whoa whoa now. You’re saying the poster is being too sensitive? You literally said “unlike Wall and Cousins, Ego didn’t blame Harden in his interview.” You were being a bit sensitive there as well.

 

So where is Wall or Cousins wrong or lying?

Did Harden report first day to practice with the team?

 

we've known for months harden requested to be elsewhere. the parting of ways was inevitable. half of us understand this team stinks. what do you think someone like harden who's actually inside thinks whose been clear on what he wants. no idea why the truth is such a shock to you. The truth hurts. So what. Harden and Watt had no problem telling like it is

 

If Rockets are relying on Harden's comments to make team better than this FO is even more out of their depth than I even imagined.

It is the FO and Silas job to make the team better.

Yet it is Harden that is constantly pushing THEM to improve the team.

It is obvious that the failure has been on the Rockets part.

As fans, why wouldn't we want to support the person most responsible and most consistent in looking to improve play on court to championship levels.

If anything, fans should laud Harden's championship expectations instead of deride them.

he doesnt want to be the leader of this team. Why should he have to give fake politically correct answers?

 

Their opinions mean jack sht. One can't even play most of the time and other gets kick out half the time. Harden was a dick, but wall and cousins hitting back when they still can't play consistently is laughable. Not defending hardens behavior but seeing wall and cousin get butthurt bout the truth when they are no longer that great is funny.

 

Its 9 games into the season and Houston hadn't even played a single game with everyone available.

Comments on chemistry and talent at that point are either irresponsible, or disingenuous. Sure, eye test can say we aren't beating the Lakers, but then again.... who is? Not the Nets with Harden either.

 

Again, irrelevant, he insulted his teammates in public so they insulted him back. It is what it is.

Watt never insulted his teammates, he never said anyone was bad, and included himself in the sucking. Watt said guys don't work hard, trust me, that's not an insult. Saying "You suck" is a lot worse because it means you're hopeless.

Coaches come out every night in the NBA and say "We need to work harder."

There is tons of difference between "You don't have the talent" and "You don't work hard enough." the latter implies that if you did maybe you'll find success while the former implies you're hopeless.

 

I don’t have a horse in this race, as I spent years defending Harden in game chats because I thought he was overly criticized by certain posters, but I’m also not going to ignore him showing up out of shape and giving half *** effort in games, (again not saying he’s the only one.).

That being said, I don’t really have a problem with Wall and Cousins saying what they did. They are here now, not Harden. They have to take the leadership role, and it probably did make a few of the other guys feel a bit better when they had their backs. I don’t see why this is even a big issue. Everyone said what they had to say, including Harden.

 

Harden isn't here anymore, he's not a Rocket, why should we support him at all lol?

In fact, Harden's failure would IMPROVE the Rockets.

My point is if he weren't traded his comments would make team chemistry worse, not better.

 

He didn't want to lead this team anymore. He didn't want to be part of the team at all. That was the entire the purpose of his airing his criticism publicly, to make it clear to everyone that he wanted out. And it worked.

This is like expecting someone that's asked for a divorce to say "we". "We need get better. We need to get improve communication. We have to do..." No, "we" aren't a thing anymore.

did harden say you suck. Did harden specifically mention names. Nope. All he said was the truth. It only hurt bc it’s true. We’ve known for a long time he didn’t want to be here. Expecting to continue to sugarcoat things was never going to happen

 

Its only been 9 games for the rockets so we cant judge them while at the same time the nets havent even played one and youre counting them out. You dont think thats disingenuous? Do you see the irony here? Get how stupid you just sounded?

Also, so then why are you so mad about what Cousins said? It was the truth, Harden was partying while the team was practicing...why is it a problem when they tell the truth about Harden but he gets to say anything he wants about the team?

 

Lots of former players who commented on it thought it was bad too, they can no longer play, so their opinions are invalid?

You can't play, Wall or Cousins would smash you in a game of 21, so you can't comment on them. Right?

 

It's not like marriage at all and he could have said a million other things that didn't involve dissing his teammates.
